Completely agree with DNA (for photo periods) 
I'm growing some DNA strawberry banana at the moment, and have a real hankering for a chocoloupe. (recently finished a girl scout cookie grow which was spectacular!)
As for selecting Autos, I've really enjoyed growing sweet seeds selections, dutch passion white widow was a beauty smoke ... and seeing as we're all here, if you're able to grab any of the dragon varieties I'm certain you won't be dissapointed. Quite rare though.

One thing is to take seed reviews ( outside of this forum... ) with a skeptical view. And you want some great seeds for a low price? Look into KC Brains. I grew some KC White and they were just beautiful! One in my greenhouse hit 7ft. tall!

I'm getting some of his afghan, its my understanding he brought it back from Afghanistan himself and I can't wait to grow it outside next year.
Spliff seeds are reasonable too. My very first grow was Spliff's Auto White Widow. I got 6 ounce dry from one plant! I think I paid $6.50 per seed for 4 seeds from the the Single Seed Center.
I've never grown a photo successfully before, with my plans for my own supersoil mix, I think I want to grow a monster in a big airpot, just want to nail it before I do a Strawberry cough!
Oh yeah, I also got a DF OG Kush freebie too! Can't wait to get that one going

I'll have to post a pic of my Strain Hunter's Flower Bomb Kush. 3.5 gallon pot, organic soil, no additives, no teas, just water when needed. She's a beauty! You'll see with yours.......
