Not sure if this is damping off or root rot or something but I noticed the stem of my seedling looking black/brown with very small white hairs on it. Is this normal or, is it a result of leaving a humidity dome on for too long? Sorry for pic quality

Hello and :welcome: To afn.

it s hard to understand what’s happening, since It’s a seedling could be anything, usually brown stems ends up with diseases or root problems But could be the plant variety.
You can let her go and see what happens, if you don’t want to lose time you can still let her go and plant one more seed.
A seed in particular for the first 3/7 days doesn’t need anything else than soil water and light, keep that simple, cuz it is :yeah:.

I had one seedling do that recently. Looked like damp off. Basically rotted at surface of soil.

Looking more like a color variation to me at this point. Damping off usually is right at soil line, that appears to have some green/white below the coloring...and it's still standing.....watch your watering and keep it going.
