Seedling troubles

I think maybe you might be right. It might be a few small issues building up together to create the problem. More pictures will help.

Here are the pics I took just before I pulled her.

Humboldt seed company
Should I try seeds from them you're saying?
I just raged and threw 2 La Reina de Africa seeds, 2 Sour Diesel seeds, 2 Pink Kush seeds, and 2 CBD seeds into paper towel. Gonna start them in cups and see what happens. I've never had this problem in cups, so maybe I need to do the same with autos. Just a thought, I'll keep this thread posted on how it turns out. Friggin angry though, I don't wanna be wasting my auto seeds, I'm already down to 2 Blue Amnesia XXLs and 7 Automazar but only gotten 3 of them going. Sooo annoying. Hopefully smaller cups sorts this.

Or mephisto and some kind soil people seem to grow problem free plants with that .

..perlite is basically glass too! Just how bad were the gnats? It'd be super weird to get such a massive infestation this early, and have larvae eating your roots on such young plants, slwoing them down,... temp's seem OK, and the light's intensity may not be it either,... so, things seem to be pointing back to the soil and pH,.. is this a new bag of soil? Getting a funky batch is fairly common! In any case, I need an in-soil pH,... if you don't have a quality pH probe, use this improved run-off test and calculation--(https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...-testing-and-ph-estimation.41733/#post-928975 ),... this is the best place to start when nothing sticks out for a cause,...

I just got my pH meter in today, so no more litmus paper. Really happy about this. Gave my plants water that I knew was at a pH of 5.5, the runoff turned out to be about 4.5 I believe. So pH in the soil is about 5?
My water was lower pH than I thought with the test strips. I thought it was between 7-8, turns out to be 6.5 so I think I was dropping the pH way too much with my plants. Gave some of them a flush with properly pHed water, I'll see how she goes.

:smoking: great!... this is the reading you got from the linked method? This is important! Oy.. this is why I hate the run-off method in general,.. by the calculation there, your soil is 3.5, and that's not accurate.. there'd by smoking husk sitting in there instead! ...see, you're getting acidified run-off, which means more acidic in the pot than the water is,..:nono: so, what's you water pH without any adjusting? don't pH adjust anything below 7.0 until we see what your water normally is,... how are the plants? I'd run that test on the soil right from the bag, same method, using a 1-2gal pot with just soil....

Okay so I flushed the promix with regular water at 6.6 pH, the runoff is up to 5.9 now. I tried to get it higher but it seems like it's staying at that level. So by the equation my soil is now at 5.2 pH? Still low but hopefully that's just due to the equation not being accurate.
