Hi guys,

Im new to the forum, just started my first autoflower grow.
I've done one photo grow, well its still growing and everthing is doing good
didnt have any problems whatsoever.

So then i started my auto grow, bought 5 xkalashnikova seeds from dope-seeds,
all of them germinated and ive put them in rockwool cubes, let them grow under a 23w cfl light for 2 days, and them planted them in soil with the cubes, and put them under my 250w hps light.

Did that yesterday, so this morning i see 3 have fallen over.. now im not sure is it cause i overwatered.. but maybe i used 100ml of water per pot when i watered.. the rockwool feels damps when i touched it..

The lamp is 60cm away from the plants, didnt want to burn them.. but i guess its just too far away?

on my photo plants during the seedling stage i used a 250w cfl light..so i didnt realy have problems with getting the bulb close to the plants.. but it stopped working so i bought a hps light :)

Thanks for the help
:)

Welcome to the site, dude. Sorry to see you're having issues. You could be dampening off from overwatering. I know you're supposed to squeeze the rockwool cubes out after soaking and yur mix should just be somewhat damp at that age.

Also, do you have a fan circulating air and causing a breeze for the seedling?

Start your HPS out at around 24 inches and work down as the plant grows. So 60cm is good. :D

Take a look at the links down in my signature when you get time. :D

Do you have i picture of them?
It would be interesting to see how tall they are.
sometimes in the seedling stage the light is too far and they stretch a lot and being young they do not have
enough stem strength to keep them from falling over. Top heavy with the leaves.

if this is the case then just use some toilet roll tubes or roll a tube of paper and place it over the seedling for some support.

Post a picture if you can!

:peace:

Thanks for the fast replys guys :))

I have a picture, im not at home, so cant upload it cause im on my phone :) will do when i come home :)

I have a fan about a meter away on the lowest setting blowing above the plants..
And ive lowered the light (for the heat to evaporate the water from the cube faster..) do you think thats a good idea?

And ive put toothpicks to hold them up. Theyre about 5cm tall.. Thats why i was so curious, cause theyre not that tall :))
Anyway ill upload the pic once i get home :)

Hi guys,
I still havent come across a computer..

So the situation is getting better and then worse again..every day..

So we figured out that the rockwool was dried out, after 10hrs of light
So we water the pots now each day with a litre of water in each pot..
The pots are 10-12litre, and the seedlings they fall over each and every day..then we water them and they pick them selfes up
And on the next morning its the same rutine..

Realy cant figure out what i could do to stabalize the situation..

Hope its not doing any serious damage to the seedlings,
Cause all in all they look healthy..

Thanks

I germinate in small rockwool cubes and then transplant to dirt. I have found that I have to put a thin layer of dirt(maybe 1/4") over the rockwool to keep it from drying out

How long are your stems? 2 inches 8 inches? Also make a support out of aluminum wire.View attachment 176558The one to the left should give you the idea. It should wrap around the stem loosely just below the cotyledon-it should be done up so it can be easily opened up and remember that if you do it has to be easy enough to do with that little stem in the middle of it.

light stretch?
take them to 20" mate

please read me edited post just prop them up
get them 3-4" closer over the next 48 hours
