Hi All
I've just completed my first Auto Grow and, following Muddy's advice on waiting for leaves to turn yellow before flushing and cropping, I got an average of 2oz per plant (8 plants)... I'll be well sorted till after Christmas... as well as plenty of my friends... Really strong, satisfying, smoke... Such a hassle free grow too compared with the Photos I normally grow...
One thing has left me puzzled... After drying, I found around 25 seeds in my 3 Afghan Kush Ryder plants... How can this be?... everything in the tent was feminised... Not a Male plant in sight... Has anyone come across this before?... I was wondering... If I germinated the seeds and set them off under the lights... Will the plants also be feminised AKR Autos?... It would save me a lot of money on seeds if they were... However, I wouldn't want to waste time and electricity if they were just regular seeds...

Yes, they should be females. Unless you had a flowering male.

I also found a seed in a purple strain from a friend and was wondering the same thing, were did the seed come from. Can a female have a lone seed pod and if so how did it get pollenated?

There is a way to make feminized seeds by allowing a female to get over ripe. In some plants they will throw a pollen sac or two befor dying. If they were outside then small grains of pollen are to be expected to find their way to you.

they also could be hermed out seeds then you bring that into your mix could be trouble ...........be carful with those hermies

Heck, regular seeds or not, they're still free seeds ;) I keep a stash of every seed I can find for random outdoor grows down the road. While the strains I want to try the most will be indoor.

Thanks for the responses... I'm astonished that it could have happened in the first place but by all accounts it's not a 'one-off'... I'm gonna have to try and germinate them aren't I... I'm far to inquisitive not to... If it's successful then I'll be on to a winner... I'll report back when I start my next grow:D
