So my seeds have sprouted and I'm ready to put them in their final pots right before their night cycle so they don't induce a bunch of stress. I'm running a 20/4 light cycle and I'm wondering if I can run a heat lamp, 150w infrared bulb during my night cycle so I can maintain my temp of 77-80 degrees? And I'm having another problem with my humidity. I ran a humidifier in there last night for a few hours and I couldn't get it over 40%. Any suggestions on how to raise it more. And isn't it true that while they're little seedlings they require roughly between 60-80% humidity? Looking for help cuz my lil girls are ready for their new home.

There is no need to run a heat lamp during lights out. They don't mind cooler temps just like in nature. Are you running a exhaust fan?If so it will draw a lot of your humid air out of yourgrow space. How big is your grow space? If you can get humidity up to 55 or 60 it will be fine,80 is hard to do when you have exhaust drawing air out.

Yea I'm running an exhaust fan. The room itself is 4'x8' and my exhaust is a 6" inline that does 235cfm so I'm sure it's taking it all out. So if I don't run the heat lamp and it drops to 60 degrees Fahrenheit it's ok? Would it be better to run the lights on 24/7 and maintain a temp around 80?

maybe run the lights 20 hours on 4 hours off and have a heater click on while lights off?

I have two small (3 litre / 1 gallon) ultrasonic humidifiers in my tent to up the humidity, but I've ordered a pond fogger off ebay at the output is much higher something like 600ml per hour compared to my current 200ml per hour. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BIG-MIST-...den_PondsWaterFeatures_UK&hash=item4ac31eab92

If you do get a pond fogger get one without the lights as they're not really mean't for continuous use and anyway it's not halloween :)

I'll definitely look into getting one of those. But for the time being is my only option buying another humidifier?

depends how cold it gets weather or not to run a heater. If you're dipping into the low 50s in lights off, that's a bit too cold. Low 60s, or even high 50s, is totally fine.

I run a 100W ceramic infrared bulb for my plants while we're in the grip of winter, but it'll be turned off for Spring, Summer, and Fall grows.

My seedlings have sprouted beautifully. Damn this is exciting! When I drop them in their pots, is it of any importance to make sure the taproot is pointed down?

My humidity is always around 25-30%, I can't get it any higher. I don't think its much of a problem. When I have a seedling sprout, I mist a clear plastic cup, punch some holes in the top and put it over. Keeps it nice and humid for the young one. Have you tried hanging wet towels, or some sponges in cups of water? I have those.

Just a thought, hope its of some help.

Karma to your grow man,

Peace
