I'm not nearby but at the opposite end of the state, just a stones throw from the Oregon border and its winter here in the mountains. Let it snow!

Just to show how ignorant I am...I didn't know you guys in cali got snow...hahahhaha. Oh that must mean you are close to some lakes that are on my bucket list for Golden Trout (high elevation lakes in the sierra nevada mountain range) Dammit...now I want to go fishing!

Got 5-8 inches of snow forecast for the next few days, well see. Its currently in the high tewnties. And on fishn, funny thing is I'm a fisheries tech, been studying fish the last 15 yes of my life. Primarily 2 species of salmon, one endangered, and Rainbow Trout - both resident and sea run(Stealhead). And farthern north than the sierras, a place that I believe is the northern most range of the Golden Trout. The mighty and majestic Russian and Marble Mountains in Siskiyou County. Check it out, you'll see that I live very rurally and have been blessed with a job that has alloud me to hike and chase fish through my beautiful range.
