Mephisto Genetics “Shipment received pending package acceptance” for three days?

That's likely a USPS issue. They have the packages and haven't scanned them in. Usually happens when there's a lot of packages to scan in from a vendor. Sometimes, they will show up at your local facility without even getting scanned at the origin facility. Source - I run a small shirt business and send a lot of stuff via USPS.

Thanks. I figured it was “just” a usps issue, but I haven’t had them take this long to scan it in yet (too many Meph purchases to compare this one to - ha!). Now my local distribution center is a different story. They “processed” both my and my husband’s passports for almost a month (priority mail 2-3 days my a$$). They’re a complete mess every damn day.

Depending on whether or not Mephisto gives USPS a manifest form if they have a ton of packages going out is why that issue happens. USPS will scan the main scan and it will spit out all of the tracking for all of the associated tracking numbers on that form as the message you saw. Meaning they have the packages but haven't "totally scanned" them all in, individually. Sometimes, as mentioned, they will never scan them in and they will just show up in your city.

Source: aside from my indie business dealings with them, my dad is retired USPS.

As far as USPS, I try not to bash them too hard. I've personally had good luck with all of the orders I send around the globe. But...their recent pricing on some things, has me scratching my head. They truly are a mess recently. But hey! At least they're not FedEx!

Amen on fedex - horrific.

My Meph package did arrive yesterday, despite the missed scans. Glad to have it. Still hoping they add UPS as an option again.

FedEx has become an absolute disaster. I used to go out of my way to choose them to ship bulk orders to clients, and if a retailer offered them as an option, I would always choose them for my purchases. No longer though. From my understanding they are outsourcing a huge chunk of their deliveries to third party contractors - ala how Amazon does it. Although I do not know how the transit to the final destination is handled. I assume that is still FedEx. It's apparently a race to the bottom.

It is now cheaper for me to ship a hoodie to a customer via UPS than it is via USPS, and that BLOWS my mind.

Anyway, didn't mean to make your thread a carrier war. I'm glad that you received your package!

I share your feelings on FedEx. My understanding is last mile FedEx ground is independent contractors, hence the issues. I live out in the country. I have a box chained to my gate, about a 1/3 mile from my house. I have text notifications, but still check frequently when deliveries are due. Once when I went out to grab a ups pkg that delivered, I found the FedEx contractor literally scoping out the UPS box to steal it. Wtf?? There is no other reason he’d have pulled the ups delivery out of my delivery container. Now I have one MORE thing to watch out for besides standard package thieves.
The only thing worse here is USPS.
