Grow Mediums Shopping list

Right you lot , here is my shopping list so far , now I can't just nip down to the local shop to get any of this stuff it all has to be shipped to me , so here is the list then some questions , So I start with [1] canna natural [2] Canna Coco A@B [3] Canna boost -Rhizotonic-cannazym - and add Mycorrhizal fungi , how is that for a start , please advice if I have missed anything out , Right some questions , do I add perlite and if so how much and can I grow outside as well , Now I read that some of you water 3 to 4 times a day but I will only be able to water 2 times a day [ watering can ] no fancy water system , I have Cal/Mag- Silica -potash-PH up and down and all the gadgets as in PH pen PPM EC meter -moisture meter , the water is tap water but I have just installed a chlorine filter [ 2 of ] My room is 2mt L by 1 mtr w and 2 mtr H I also have a aircon and air filter and fresh air intakes , and 2 x 600 watt Led lights , but I also grow outside , which after the wet season I want to have a go at growing a bloody big plant as in 500 to 1000 gram yield not that I chase yield it is just that I want to be a legend in my on mind , I grow both photos and Autos , but in saying that I am only new to this and each grow I am getting better at it , I have some seed coming for my next grow so I am hoping I can get this sorted for next grow after , hows that for a start , guys with your advice I will make this happen .

Hey there Hecno just going to throw my 2 cents in on some of these things:

- your nute setup looks stellar, remind me is potash the same as a PK booster? If not you might need something in there to boost the PK since canna a+b are in theory a complete food for veg + flower but a pk boost in flowering period is always a help
- rhizotonic is going to put your ph up, so if you're adding it to the feed make sure to ph the water afterwards - it's a great product for root development
- not sure if this is your first coco grow, if yes then I would suggest checking out the stickys on this forum they are the bee's knees and you can find a plethora of info and tips that can make or break your grow (like never watering coco with plain water which I didn't know!) (I'm sorry if you're experienced in coco, I'm too tired to check)
- perlite is a useful addition to coco coir, 70% coco 30% perlite is a common ratio that works well, it will help aerate your mix and provide good drainage
- many successful coco grows have been done outside, bear in mind depending on your climate you might need to water several times a day to keep it from drying out, if on the other hand you live in a wet climate coco might be easier for outdoors since it's harder to overwater/waterlog it
- from the people who have hand-watered their coco plants the most often I have seen it is twice a day I think, so you're ok there, depending on the amount of plants you are planning to run it could be a pain in the later stages, some people water more than twice a day in small amounts and this gives even better results but is by no means essential
- canna provides a nutrient calculator tool on their website here, if you're growing autos I would select 'light feed' and start even less than that, maybe 1/4, then slowly increase it. Useful to know from the start since coco is an inert medium and the plants will not grow if you don't provide nutrients from the start (upon establishing 1st set of leaves is the common consensus)

Thank you very much , It will be my first grow at coco , I have read lots but I find the input from you guys helps me understand it better , and I have spent a fair bit of time reading the posts here , I also started a veg garden - herbs and chilies which I am playing around with different soils and nutrients , sort of setting up the ground work ,

Beautiful jungle garden u got there hecno! Cant wait to see that 2 pound monster back there! U have to hook us up with a grow journal for real!!

Everything sounds good to me bro, time to get started!! One thing i might add is that a watering system is actually extremely simple lol i just set my first one up and literally all the research i did made it seem much more complocated than it is.

Like all u need is a bucket to mix your nutes, a submersible water pump, timer and the tubing that will go from the pump to the plants pot. It would lessen your workload considerably."My 2 cents"

But in no way is it necessary, you can water coco like soil every other day or whatever and you will still get great results.

Ive watered every other day, got good results. Watered every day, and got the same good results. This time im doing multiple feeds per day and will see if it helps yield.
