New Grower short autos; they never stretch!

Same thing happened to me when i switched from cfl to t5HO. Had the t5's down to about 3" from the tops and was getting no stretch. I recognized that they were not stretching, so raised the light up to about 6", bumped up the veg nutes a little and they took of stretching. Not quite the way I wanted things to go, I was trying to grow up into a scrog screen but turned out more like "structured LST".

Really? I heard with only 150hps i eventually want 4inches from light, but the heat is just too much so i couldn't do it, the problem with other forum is it's hidden in a journal section so most people don't see it, and there's not too many people with auto experience, so i do come here specifically for that

the delicious feeding is off, the plants shitty, but think differently was doing okay, i think they might be bigger eaters than i expect and i might have just too low of a nute solution, would that be possible? i'm raising the lights now :-p

The soil is coco and perlite... so no soil... the pots are 3gal I believe and for flowering im using advanced nutes a+B and then my additives range in variety, i try to go by ppm though, and think diff's ppm is pretty low so i'm guessing that's their problem? but i dont want to over feed i thought 800 was around the avg height with autos but even then i don't know!

With the utmost repsect Dude?

1. I think you have been getting good advice on the other forum.
2. You have been told to LITF Alone!
3.
You freely admit that your feeding schedule is.........how do I put it?...................OFF!
4. Yet, Having said all that, you seem to like bouncing ideas between forums.

In the spirit of the game:yc:

I feel like you've read my journal and have a good point, but i'm not sure what it is... i do want to hear your opinion!

If your going to come here for advice, its not really good etiquette to post links to a journal of yours on another forum. Posting your pics, etc here will also make it easier for us to see what’s going on.

Here is a light placement chart:

I have, I'm confused................still!

All good growers will tell you a stable baseline is what you work from:

Seed
Soil
Nutes

You have obviously done a few grows but, you seem to be throwing in too many variables.

Get your pr
iorities right in the first instance!

You are growing Think Different @DP, here at AFN we have seen many grows, with many different results of this variety.

I believe you fall into the last category (many different results) because you keep playing instead of letting the plant do it's own thing.

I am having the same issue with a dynafem critical cheese auto. I am running a 600w hps I am going to back my light off a bit see if I can get mine to do that good job man looks good!

An update of Think Diff #2 the one I didn't LST, I don't plan on defoliating at all unless someone convinces me minor is a good idea...

my only concern is she isn't perking up towards the light, I don't know if the light is too high now or if the nute solution is too low, or what! any ideas? It's coco with perlite so i didn't think it was possible to over water, and i don't water more than once a day, once every 2-3 days usually my whole apartment keeps a humidity level around 30% due to a dehumidifier, so i don't think the plant is drowning! it's been like this atleast a week, i just cant make her happy.... story of my life "YadaYadaYada"
