What do y’all think - should I harvest? I am brand new to Autos and I wasn’t expecting to be close yet. So, I haven’t really “flushed” yet. Although I did just feed them plain water, recharge and some FF Sledgehammer yesterday morning, by coincidence. So, the last nutes they had was about 6-7 days ago. IF they’re ready now, should I go ahead and harvest or push it another week and hit them with plain water tomorrow and then let them dry out before harvesting? Really need some specific rec’s right now.

looks like it has some decent amber, what about a quick dry on a little bud to see if it gives you the buzz you like.

You can find a lot of growers who think flushing is myth and a lot of growers who don't. When in soil, I flushed and didn't taste any difference from when I nuted up to harvest. Same with a dark period before harvest. I didn't see any difference going dark. Harvesting now is fine. Really depends on what kind of high you lean towards and if you want to wait for more amber trichomes.

looking good  people stab the trunk with a knife, others pour on boiling or freezing water.if it works for you keep doing it :pass:to me flushing is a myth.
i cut at the first sign of a single amber,so it well done for me :smoking:
good luck n keep er lit.

Thanks y’all! I’m going to give them 2 more days because I’m waiting on a small 2’x4’x5’ tent and another fan and filter setup. It’ll be my drying room for now and come February it’ll be more room for starting my outdoor garden.

How do you do a “quick dry?” Do you put it in the oven or something?

Gotcha. That’s a relief. Can you explain to me how the effect changes with more time in the ground and more amber trichs? Definitely prefer a more energy filled high and not so much couch lock. Not enough serious smokers in my life to warrant the couch lock and it’s actually a turn off.

Thanks Archie! Would you mind telling me what effects/flavors/results you prefer that cutting at the first sign of amber achieves? Maybe it’d be easier to explain what it is that MORE amber trichomes gives you that you DONT like.

quick dry jus a lil bud sat ontop of an led,fan assisted oven at low low.
a bit like sativa/indica to me,early cut is a head stone, amber is a body stone.
indica and ambers dont agree with me.no head high makes me feel yucky and depressed.(but thats rare...or im rare)
technically thc at most potent 100% cloudy, amber trichs degrade and the thc turns into cbn/d's and others that are more sleepytime/medical uses.im 100% eejit recreational.
good luck n keep er lit.

Thanks y’all! Still learning. Back in the day, we just looked at red hairs! Lol!

Lookin good there brother I'd say its ready.

Thanks! Yeah, I guess a little over-ripe but the new drying tent doesn’t arrive until tomorrow. I needed a way to control odor while it dries. So, I’ve had to wait. But I’ve got 6 other plants that are not quite ready yet. So, they’ll get chopped a little earlier.
