Hi everyone,
Well as you can tell my plants are in late flower when going off what the seed company's state" i've had one or two problems so they haven't grew to the full of what they could have been lol
(Not optimal)
Anyway with betty boo from joint doctor are the fastest growing auto plants around from what ive looked up about the strain and grow report on them. Joint doctor give these plants a growing time from seed to harvest in 58-60 days, mine are at 65 days from the seedings braking through the soil on the 1/8/14.
The thing thats on my mind is the genetics of the seeds and also the plants' if you look at most of the pistol hairs are a nice and amber colour plus the tricones( dont know if i spelt that right) are of a 50% mix of clear and milky ones which some people say to harvest when its like that?
Because the plants are only given 60 days most but i have heard of people on 65-70 days so thats where my confusion comes from, coz my hairs are looking really amber on some buds and i read somewhere that isn't good and the thc start going? No sorry im wrong thats the tricones" again sorry if i have spelt that wrong, when they go from milky to amber thats when they are starting to go bad lol

The times that the seed banks use are based on grows done by very experienced growers in ideal conditions. They also make the switch from veg to flowering nutes as soon as the plants show pre flowers, usually at week 3. We've learned that yield can be significantly increased if that switch isn't made until vertical growth stops, usually around week 5-6. The plants will then usually go 70 - 80 days, sometimes longer. It's also a bit of a sales gimmick.

If you still have 50% clear tricomes it's probably still a bit early unless you're looking for more of an up, head high. If you want more of a body stone and a higher medical effect, leave them until all the trics are cloudy and all of your big fan leaves have yellowed and died off. Your pictures aren't displaying so I can't see them to advise. If you haven't already, read the two threads linked in my signature. I think they will give you a better idea on what's going on with your plants and an alternative way to tell when autos are ready to harvest.

Have any of the whole plant so we can see what the fan leaves look like? Are they yellowing yet?

Arty, some autos strains don't show amber trics so that's not always a reliable method to determine when autos are ready.

You still have a lot of white pistols showing so she is still putting on bud weight.Your pistol hairs should be at least 90 or 95%dryed or brown before you harvest.

Sorry for the late reply guys, thanks ever so much for the feed back, charts, and everything else. I'm abit more confused after reading the grow book i got for european cannabis cultivation by mel thomas and i know this guy knows his stuff but is there any truth in this page ive took a picture of and put on the top of this page.
