Live Stoner Chat Show us your beans.

Daaaaaaamn, Kozminski!! That collection is strong! Strong, I say!!! You ain't playing around when it comes to bean collecting!

Collecting seeds became an addiction to me for a time. I've spent thousands on these little beans. I just couldn't resist those 2 for 1's, or holiday promos. I eventually had to just cut it off. I have enough seeds to grow for the rest of my life! (if they'll last that long.)
What the!?! Wow ok you win lololol! That's enough seed and variety for 5 lifetimes at least lol! I agree there is something addictive about buying and collecting seeds. If there's an award for seed hoarding lol, you deserve it haha :)

I'm not sure what I'm more impressed by, the catalog of seeds you have or that you didn't give up typing and just use pics. Very impressive collection!!

Ha, I guess I should add that I already had the list. It was just Copy/Paste. I've kept inventory as I added to it, and subtract seeds from the list as I use them.
...Was just thinking I could probably start my own shop, lol.

Koz - Kew Gardens would kill for a collection like that. (If they could get past AFN members first)
Wow, eP.

Koz, if you keep them frozen, they will last decades, provided you dont thaw/refreeze them often.

Thanks everyone for the compliments! I'm still not sure if I'm proud of my collection, or ashamed at my compulsion. I'm still paying off the credit cards from all these seed purchases. Oh well, I guess some people collect Star Wars figurines, I collect Cannabis seeds, lol.

Koz, if you keep them frozen, they will last decades, provided you dont thaw/refreeze them often.

I wasn't sure if I should freeze them or not. The ones in the canning jars with rice stay in the fridge, which I try to keep at a constant temperaure. They will stay there for years, as I do not plan on growing them soon, &/or have doubles of them elsewhere. Do you think I should freeze those instead if I'm not going to use them for quite a while? I wasn't sure if freezing would damage them or not. I keep this mini-fridge below 40 degrees F.

The ones in the large foil bag, in the golden tins, I also keep in the fridge, but they may come out once or twice a year when I need to get something out of there. I needed to get a couple packs out of there this time, when I took the pictures.
But I usually try to plan ahead and pull out my "on-deck" seeds and keep them in the Book Safe, that stays out at room temperature, as these are the seeds I plan on getting to next.

I would love to see/hear of anyone else's storage methods or suggestions. I've heard that a low, constant temperature, and around 8% humidity is best for long term storage. My little mini-fridge is not a professional storage device, but i hope the cool temperature, rice and dessicant packs help them keep for a long time.

Sounds like you are storing them just fine. Some will tell you freeze/not freeze. I think as long as they are air tight and cold, they should be fine. I will say this though, I applaud your passion or ocd or what ever you want to call it!! You should be proud of your collection!!!
