the only real issue using dress socks and/or nylons and similar the waeves tend to be a little to thick and/or too tightly woven so the life and water dont pass through as well as it needs to. an extraction bag is batter an your'll get years out of a decent one. I have two. and have had them (well one really) for about 4-5 years now and going strong. cheese cloth is the best or burlap even, tied in a criss cross type of bow and dngled into the middle of the heaviest bubbles area. it wont stagnate as much. but it looks like its working fine I suppose but there is room for improvement.how long was that brewing? are there even bubbles? are you doing an oldschool compost soaking and stirring? just wondering. Thanks!
