Hi guys just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what could be up with my plants. Seem to be growing small IMO? In the photo they are 16 days old from seed. Been in these 0.5l pots a week and under the cfl for the first 12 days. Then moved to the 600w. I culled 1 and noticed a lack of roots. I'm in coco aswell. I'd say they are growing but to me the plants seem to be growing small and stunted. Like miniature plants if that makes sense. Hoping they don't have too get binned and look ok for 16 days and its just me being paranoid but here's the pic.

Right one is smaller. Never know sometimes small ones get a big growth spurt. Checked a photo of some of mine at 2 weeks in coco. About the same size. Little one does not look stunted. Leaves are about the right size for its frame.

Cheers

Cheers mate, normally I veg while main tents in flower but culled my last lot as I werent happy. My ec stick was abit out as it needed a clean. Luckily they've only had 1 feed. Was thinking let them dry out and just flush with ph water. Now my ec is bang on start again? Although to be honest I don't see any nute burn. Maybe I just expect too much lol but seems to me they are growing small normally my plants are bigger than the width of the pot. Praying this lot make it as I wanna finish this and get another 1 in before Xmas

Yes, ninja. Coco is great. Just the preparation of coco is the key. So easy--followed Canna Coco guidelines. With soil was a mess taming PH.

If you are using a coco based product all should be fine. Most fertilizers for hydro are great--too. It really is a hybrid form of hydro.
Thinking the Rhizotonic from Canna would help with root development. That is what is important in coco get those roots growing. The small one must have a smaller root structure. Bet one of the root stimulant products will help. But--not absolutely necessary.

I don't flush (except I try for a two week pre-h rinse--regular water not a flush per se). Once every week or two---start of flowering and right after the week of PK boost will just use water and a few goodies without the A & B for one watering.

Coco is so efficient. And plants don't need massive amounts of nutes so little salt build-up.

I do check PPM when nutes go up. Last week, hit the highest it will hit at 1150 ppm which included the pk. Plants at six weeks took it well.

I water every other day--1 gallon per three gallon smart bag during flowering then it goes down as they ripen. And what is great is that I can fill the saucer with nutes and they just suck it right up. Just discovered that by accident a few weeks ago. So for--three plants = 15 gallons a week of RO. Have others but these three are the "good uns." LOL.

Wow--got some ran, finally, and put buckets out. PH = 6 and plants seemed to like the sky water--must have been a treat for them. Have buckets out again tonight.

If you have a journal going let me know. Been experimenting with a few new products etc.

Cheers

Hi mate gonna let them fully dry out to make sure it's no watering too often which is causing lack of roots. Gonna add rhizo as I have it here. Got a background ec of 0.6. Gonna be feeding them an ec of 0.8 not including the background as I normally just ignore it and grown fine in the past. I really can't be dealing with culling these and starting a new lot again. Will need watering soon in 2 days I'd say so hopefully after that they start to pick up. They are growing but just really small if that's any idea as to what the problem is?

They really look about right to me. The coco dries quickly--as you know. At two weeks I start full watering.

Here is, a past grow, a couple of two plus a couple of day olds---1a.jpg

Cheers

I just killed 2 that looked so shit it was pissing me off too look at. Real lack of roots? Guessig that's to do with the wet/dry cycle? So fucking tempted to rip these but that will be 2 lots of seeds then that I've done this with. Feel as if I've gone backwards in growing.

As at the start my ec stick was abit off I decided to gives the gives a water with nothing but rhizo. Hopefully will see some improvment and get back on track.
