Ello peeps!!!

Im just wondering if I put "silica bags" (u know the 1's u get in clothes, handbags etc) in with my mary j, would it dry out quicker? or would it just f*ck my bud?

Cheers, Pello!!!

As far as i know mate they're great for absorbing moisture, so i wouldn't go throwing them in a jar of perfectly cured homegrown. But if its just some you've bought and its a little wet it may be worth a shot, i'd play it safe and go with the old mull up and air out. What the silica packs are great for though, are storing with your seeds in the fridge I've got a beauty going from a seed that was fridge'd for two to three years!

Hi @pello78
In my own opinion i would be staying well away from something like that.
Think of it this way you never find those silica bags in any food related items that you are going to consume, only products like in shoes boxes.
I think organic is spot on, it will only dry out your buds and not keep it at the right RH%.

Id say it would dry out your bud but not in a good way. I think drying and curing has almost as much to do with final product as growing and find patience is key (as difficult as it may be) and anytime ive dried too quickly it became harsh. When im in dire need and trying to speed dry i put a few smallish buds in a small brown bag (sandwich size) and set it on a heater vent. Check frequently because it will dry in probably a day or so but will not be anywhere near as strong or smooth as properly dried and cured bud

your right about dry and cure being as important as grow itself. One year i had all the time in the world to monitor my dry and cure and it came out top notch, the next year i was crazy busy and had no time for it. The whole harvest suffered depressingly, all from one day too long hanging in the cupboard on a hot day!
