Mephisto Genetics SlamJackson got some beans!

Short update: Sour Crack and Blue Cush germinated fast, they both got put in their 3 gal fabric pots on October 14th. Here is a picture of each, how do they look for 2 days? I feel like they are slower than many I see on here but that could just be first time growers anxiety.

Skywalker and Creme Bubbly have yet to show signs of life but its only been 5 days so I wont give up hope yet.

I've been doing a ton of research on watering, I can definitely see how new growers would fall into the over watering trap. My instinct is to give them more to drink but unless they give me a sign I'm just gonna keep giving them small sips every few days.

Any advice at this point is more than welcome, thanks for checking in and happy growing.

@SlamJackson - if you haven’t seen it already, go searching around on AFN somewhere for an Auto Colorado Cookies grow journal by @TaNg. In that thread, he describes in minute detail how he waters and what his nutrient schedule is. He is well known to produce some absolutely monstrous plants. And I think it’s surprising to see how little he feeds and waters his plants. You will also see that he lifts his pots to determine whether they need water or whether there’s moisture not his pots. It’s fascinating.

Day 6.

I don't think its going too poorly so far. I'm a little concerned with the yellowing tips on both plants and cant figure out why new growth is coming in purple. I haven't fed them anything yet and they are in Happy Frog so nute burn from hot soil seems unlikely. Only thing I can guess is that my PH pen is inaccurate, so I've got some calibration solution coming in the mail. I'm also not 100% sure on how high my LED should be at this point, some say as long as its not hurting my hand its okay, others say LED is too intense for them this early on. It's at around 26 inches right now.

Other than that they seem happy, so unless one of you more experienced growers comes in with with some good advice I'll just keep on keeping on.

Blue Cush

Sending you all some :vibes: and thanks for checking in!

the back of the hand method is for old style light bulbs, seedlings tend not to like the led to close maybe 24-36" takes a bit of playing about.i work in cms and for me its about 70cm but a fully grown plant can get to 20cm away.
a spare pot with dry soil sat in the corner for weight reference.
the purplish stem aint uncommon, the purple leaves this early is a bit :yoinks: professional help needed.
good luck n keep er lit.
:pighug:

I dont know what’s going on with the burnt tips But those purple leaves look kinda cool!!! Someone with more expierence should be chiming in soon but str8 happy frog normally shouldn’t be burning em I use and mix it with Ocean forest and haven’t burnt any seedlings yet but you never know!!!
