Hey guys my first try at hydro. Everything really has been going well so far. I only had 2" rock wool cubes so I decided I would start her out in 1 and then when the taproot came out I would just stack another 2" cube underneath and put into the net pot. Well it's going on 3 weeks since she's hatched almost, and she's very sluggish. Color seems to be perfect.

I've kept the ph at 5.7, water temps are 68-70 f. Air pump is 8l. 5 gallon bucket. Humidity has been a little on the low side, around 40% rh.

She's actually starting to progress a little now. But the tap root just will not grow down into the water. It's been hanging just under the bet pot for 5 days now. I can see some branching off but still won't come down.

I'm looking for an answer as to how can I fix this. I know dwc has faster growth than this.

Hey Truu ,thats definitely a slow seedling dude  all I can think is the low RH maybe ...or the RR cubes having a neutral PH around 7 & need a soak in 5.6-5.8 ph'd water before use.

you really could do with some hydrogen pebbles bro !. or fill the whole pot with rockwool & sit the smaller cube in the center maybe ...that would block the light to the root zone & res which is essential or the nutes go bad .

other than that ?...could have been a bad seed ? damping off ? ,hope she gets better :Sharing One:
