how far can the smell from flowering girls travel when outdoors?

Depends on breed. A northern lights...not do much. An ak47 for a hundred feet easy. I "lost" an ak plot once..found by smell during flowering. .lol

Yep some stinky strains can get you busted from a long way.. I have a 2800sqft house and grow in a back basement closet.... not too long ago a buddy stopped by and was 30 yards from the house with no idea I even grow and commented on getting smells of pot

How can you fit a carbon filter outdoors tho... I've self busted 2 m8s (as in identified them both of growing) thru the smell - and there's someone at our allotments (a 200+ plot site) that is growing - mmm I can smell em. Can't find them tho - he/she is good at hiding cause Ive been hunting em for years (just out of curiosity I'd never rip anyone elses grow) - probably a greenhouse somewhere - but they're def AFs by the early flowering smells) - or ofc there could be a large cannabis factory hiding nearby \o/.

There were 400 plants removed by the police from a disused church about 50 yards from where I live and I never knew.... damn. So for indoor grows you can definitely hide it using carbon - but for outdoor you can only but pick the less stinky varieties if it's a concern.

Last year I was growing Low Ryder 2 and Northern Lights Autos - neither of which were what I would call oderous - this year I have three Diesel Ryders << they stink - and a couple of NLs and a couple of Mighty Midget Autos (not flowering yet but will let you know if they honk).

Perhaps there should be a thread about the stinkiest weed hehe.

Probably depends on who's doing the smelling as well. Dogs can maybe smell for miles? Aardvarks, I have no idea.
