I've just been looking at the huge amounts dumped on various states in the NE over the last 2 days.


Just wondering if any of the Stateside growers in the area have been affected? I know there are a few here at AFN. I read a report on the BBC which also stated:

Among other deaths attributed to the storm was that of a man in North Carolina who stopped to help a motorist whose car had veered off an icy road. Police said the Good Samaritan was shot by the man he had gone to help.



Only in America!?

Anyway, to anybody who has to dig themselves out, be interested to hear how/if it's affected anyone!

Here in Southern New England it's all according to where you live. Snow fall is around 8" to 12". We were on the northern edge of the storm system. No big deal for us. The areas in the Washington D.C. and south very rarely get a large amount of snow. They don't have the equipment to get the job done. Also it snowed 2"-3" per hour. That's a good amount to take care of.

Just to set some straight. There are no news stories of actual crimes being stopped by law abiding citizen that use there 2nd amendment rights to protect there lives and property. There are many more good news stories of actually stopping thugs and criminals that don't make the news. Sound protection of your life is not on the agenda of the BBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox or any news organizations. An armed society is a polite society.
No story of the 60 year old women that pulled out a Glock when some creep decided that she'd be an easy target during the blizzard. No story about this at all. Only in America.

I can see my lawn in nh. Anyone effected by the storm is welcome to send the snow this way. My new truck and snowmobile would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Much like this country then! Slightest flurry of snow and the powers to be be have us on a major alert footing!!

I meant no offence to you @BayLee420 or any 2nd amendment observer's with my comment 'only in America'. Living in the UK and I do sometimes doubt that the BBC (a once well regarded news outlet?) is giving us the factually correct stories, we just don't have the same culture regarding firearms in this country.

No offense taken...That's why I added O.I.A. comment on the story of Granny Glock. Thanks to the Brits for our 2nd, 3rd Amendments.. It's amazing what a little revolution can accomplish. It's too bad America has strayed too far from our original founding. The state should be worried about the citizens; not the citizens worried about the state.

When that family got it's fortune in illegal booze (boot legging) , organized crime and porn. The Bushes (Nazi sympathizers also) and their whole clan are like Dukes. We have the Black Prince now. We do need a 2nd amendment with these clowns in power.

Frightening times...........perhaps? We need to get rid of the Royal Family in this country thou (bunch of F in immigrants who make out they are British?).
