Great job EoF!!! I will definitely be doing this in the near future. So you only did a 1st run and tossed it? I've seen it mostly done with multiple jars with 3 ten second washes but if one jar works fine I'd obviously much rather do that!!

I know what you mean Pop I grew up near the Canadian border and used to live for late summer when we'd get drowned in oil for a month or two.

Second Try

Oil Day?! coool. lol Im down fer that. This last time I used my Spliff Seeds Dutch Automatic.That has a very Sativa dom and not a ton of Trics.So I dried it up well,froze it n ran it once.I will be doing two washes as a rule, but this time I only did one cuz there wasnt a lot there. But I got a bit of Tangelo,MoonStone and Dutch Auto this time.I just stuck it in the freezer a cpl hrs ago er so.so prolly tonight ill do that up n let it sit n see what we get after two runs.

I bet my Haze 2.0 later this grow would lend well to a nice day supercharged bowl or joint.Im stoked..now i need to play with recipes n see where Im at for effect.that'll be fun.Thanks guys.

I dont know about 3, 10 second washes.I was just gonna freeze fill shake n strain,then fill again with cold alcohol n shake n strain one more time.takes a bit to strain.but im gonna spray a lil water in the filters prior to that this time round.sweeet.looking forward to that."AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out"

I tossed around the Idea of getting a sifting box n freezing a bunch of busted up bud n sugar leaves but this is pretty nice too so far.very clean n make ya lungs just dance the wtf expansion..lol. coughing..lol:smoke:

Smoking qwiso is the only time I ever had a white out
 
I'll probably pick up some bubble bags some time in the future, maybe do some dry ice extractions with it as well. But in the meantime I might take 5 grams or so of nug and do a QWISO run with it so thanks for the details they help!
 
Did one more run

I used mostly dutch Auto and Moonstone.Next I wanna try a small bit of P3 with a small nug of moonstone and a bit more tangelo.this latest run is almost dry.still a couple small deposits that need to evaporate a lil more still.slightly tacky.but not much.

how long are you letting it evaporate for? Have you considered speeding it along? I've considered using boiling water that I swap out when it cools.
 
The last two tries I let my first sit for right about 24 hours.and this last one is now at about 18-20 hours within a large room with air moving.it'll be ready to scrape later on about dinner time.just trying to watch it and see when its dry or the less tacky the better I suppose.I kept a small fan pushing air right over it and in a warm part of the house too.so it evaporates rather quickly Im sure.especially since I used 99% this time.I shook the same batch twice this time too.it still came out clear.I looks like almost plain alcohol running through it..lol i moistened the two coffee filters too.not sure if it helped a lot,but it all worked alright.

I just loosely stuck buds busted up,loose airy buds what ever,enough to the top.but lightly stuffed in there though.once you add alcohol n shake it its gonna shrink up major.but Id guess about a solid eighth about.lil less..lil more depending.I dump it once n let most of it strain then scoop it outta the filter n stuff it back in and add about half the amount of alcohol I used the fist time(which is about 2/3-3/4 full) and shake that for 30 n strain that.thats exactly what I did this last time.pretty killer man.a very nice alternative to smoke with a bowl,super charge a joint or whatever.heck to get a really pure form of oil and butter you could ultimately cook with it too Im sure.close to zero taste at most..lol.ya'd burn through a ton of buds doing that but the end result would be slammin bad ass man."AFN smoke out"
