Just remember, energy companies have one true love....the greenback. I get those types of inserts (other bills too) and it seems rather normal.
I'm in California and have a "smart meter" which is monitored by them remotely.
There was a time I worried about energy spikes being a red flag for law enforcement. Now with it basically legal I'm not concerned
