I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts....
:tiphat:

so i'm not exactly a new grower, but I AM new to coco lol
I just started to germ another seed to add to my repitoire. Critical+ AutoFem by Dr Green Seeds. I've seen lots of critical grows but as to a Critical+ grow with Dr Green Seeds as the breeder, many hours of searching prevailed nothing.
IN ANY EVENT.
More soil is going to be ordered soon, however in the mean time, I have 1/2 a bag of FFOF, 1/2 a bag of MG perlite, 2/3 a bag of harvest super powered compost, and a full bag of espoma biotone starter plus.
oh. And a whole pant load of coco pellets ;)

NOW.
on the dr green seeds website it says for all auto strains bred by dr green seeds its recommended to not use anything more than 5 litre pots. I have some 5 QUART pots (which is damn near 5 litres) that i'll be using...just because Im afraid, especially since the strain is so un-documented, that I'll out-grow the head room I have if I plant in anything bigger.
I dont want to plant in straight FFOF since I know it tends to run on the hot side for autos...and while i DO have a lot of coco pellets, I don't think its enough to fill a 5 quart pot on its own.

It is perfectly acceptable to do a mix of coco (which has no nutes) and a 'hot' soil and kind of...even out the playing field....no?
What would you recommend I do? The seed is already germinating so there isn't really any turning back now...lol

Hi I've mixed soil with coco before when I knew I was going on holiday and couldn't get to water for a week so needed more water retention. Mine were fine, I'd mix half and half and just feed her on the weak side but keep an eye an she will tell ya if she's hungry or not
