Three gallon pots are good for dwarf strains, 10 gallon for supers. Yes, it's difficult to keep outdoor plants on a feeding schedule due to periods of rain. I've often run into situations where they would just be drying out from the last rain when it would rain again. So amend your soil with something to keep them fed. Composted manure, worm castings or guano are good choices.
And if I put the autos outside in pots, what size pots and what should I add to them? I suppose you cant give them nutes like indoors with rain and all
