From my Vast experience I can tell you that your plants will tell you what is too much light more than your eyes or a meter will. I can tell u that If you deal with Cobs, in a 2x4 tent that 3 is not better than 2 and 3 is too much due the the intensity that Cobs produce. It is a Spotlight effect and you will cause light stress in a 2x4 with 3 Cobs due to lack of height and light intensity focused downward. Autos dont need as much light as people think. You have to take tent height into consideration. My Samsung light bars are 185 watts max. My Roc it Fuel showed signs of light stress at 75% intensity. It is happiest at 50%. Efficeiecy of light, spectrum, lamp.distsnce, tent size, strain, pheno, all are more important than WATTS. I could buy a POS "300 Watt" light and it be a fraction of the intensity of 1 Cob at 55 Watts. I can grow a plant from seed to harvest under 1 55 watt COB and yield more than that "300 Watt" light. Math means nothing. Read your plants and dont get caught up in numbers. If you think more power is better, cool man...unfortunately there are way more factors that come into play than watts. You can easily do 2g per Watt, if you use the correct lighting for your space and plants. There is such a thing as too much lighting, and with most Autoflowers and LEDs...you would be surprised at how little the amount of light your plants need to have superior yeilds. Tent shape, size and height matter a lot more than you think..a light in a 2x4x5ft height will have a different intensity in different locations than in a 3x3 at 8ft height. You notice some new LED lights are long and narrow? Perfect for a rectangular tent. Same light comes in a square version for square tents. Both 250 watts. Which is better? Watts mean nothing. Good luck, slow
