Quick question for you AutoPot pros! Im really considering getting a 2 pot set up in the coming weeks.. But I cant seem to tell if the tray that the two pots will sit in, is detachable or not. The pots seem pretty close together. And if they are not detachable, is spacing ever an issue? Meaning are the plants ever too close together or crowding each other? Any info would be appreciated!

I'm not really a pro but here is what I have learned.

Sounds like you are describing the easy2grow 8.5 liter (2.2gl) pots. They do come with a single tray that holds both pots and are not detachable and really too close together to grow cannabis.

You can do one of two things, you can purchase the smaller 8.5 liter pots and put them into the 1Pot Systems trays. The base of both size pots fit the trays for the 1Pot System. Or you can just purchase the 1Pot System with its 15 liter (3.9gl) pots.

This is what many of us use. I plan on purchasing some of the smaller pots just to try out growing some plants in them using the larger trays.

Thanks! Thats exactly what I was looking at.. So is the "Auto Pot" system something totally different? Or just a different brand name? Thanks for the help!

Not sure what u mean. I'm referring to AutoPots. This is their U.S. site and their U.K. site. The easy2grow, 1Pot, and 1Pot XL systems are just different size pots they make 2.2, 3.9, and 6.6 gallon. It just happens that in their wisdom they made the bottom of the 2.2 and 3.9 gallon pots the same dimensions allowing one to use the smaller pots in separate bases versus having them bunched together in the easy2grow bases.

I hope I'm not adding to your confusion, if so, hit this. :pass:

Not at all bro! It all makes sense now! Im looking at the xl 1 pot set up online right now and see exactly what you're talking about. The Xl is definitely what I'm loo looking for.. I don't really want the 4 gal pots but we gotta start somewhere right? Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

The XL at 6.6 gallons is really overkill. I think @Hansbricks has them or someone does here and they agree for autoflowers they are really too big. And if using photosensitive strains you could probably fill a 4x4 with just one XL pots. I prefer the normal 1Pot systems at just 3.9 gallons and as I said am planning on testing the smaller pots using the 1Pot bases. I think I could grow four autoflowers using the smaller pots in my 4x4 and have plenty of room left over for training them into a SOG.

You best have plenty of space and height if you go with the XL system! I'll gaurantee you could grow a pound in a single 3.9 gallon pot with the right strain!

Anyone grows in 8,5L airpots? I would like to see journals. I can't decide if I buy 2x15L or 4x8,5L. I really like grow different strains, that's why I'm leaning on 8,5L side. But I also want 400+g from them.:biggrin:
Now I can get that with 2x15L airpots and 2x10L normal pots.

you can get that with one, 15L auto pot!
