Mephisto Genetics Spanglish is back with a Sour Crack, (and a micro White N Bubbly)

My rh is usually pretty high most of the year. Luckily, the AC unit can keep it down to about 50% when it's running. Not running now though, the heater has been running for the past few days. Rh is normally a bit lower when is cold. Good thing as I chopped the WW a couple of days ago. She's drying in the lower part of the cab with rh 35-45%

End of Winter start of Spring is the killer here for RH and outside drying is near on impossible, without running the risk of rotting or getting mold in the lot, my shitty old meter that looks to not have been the most accurate by a long shot used to show 95%-100% most of the time with the best to expect to see on a good day around 75% lol, dont suprise me as are surrounded by snow covered mountains melting as temps start to creep back up, and cant see the other side of the street for thick low laying fog from early morning, till 2pm-4pm or sometimes all day.

Drying out in outdoor cupboard this time of the year is what for me produces the most pungent and tasty buds, but is as slow as hell and still run a little risk of rot or mold but have always been careful not let buds touch or try to dry to much at once, which is even easier now with a staggered harvest for the big girl as when the cola is just about ready for the jars, the lowers that seem to be able to fatten for another week are ready for the taking. Cupboard temp is low between 4c(39f)-12c(54f), and even though the early morning fog moves in is usually clear by 10am-11am, and with the air is still cooling which seems to help keep the RH a bit lower with it peaking at around 3am-4am to around a rather nervy 75% but by 9.30am ish is in the low 70s to high 60s dropping through the day to a low of around 45%-55% by 1pm-2pm, before slowly climbing and sitting at 60%-65% most for the remainder of the day (god that felt like i was giving the weather report lol)

The above process as i mentioned makes for a slow dry but really seems to lock in flavor and smell more, a combo of the slower dry, cold and RH range seems to let the buds dry still (if not painfully slow when the jars are empty) but is almost as if they are starting to cure at the same time during the process, but as with most of my observations it is just that an observation based on my own uneducated views and experiences, and i don't know if there is any real reasoning or science behind it or is just in my head, but to me anyways the finished product seems this way.

Just heading on over to check out miss WW in a bit then, now this ramble is done and dusted ;) Was not far out on the guess the other week then when i said we would be chopping one on the same day, so beat ya by 3 days then pal lol:shooty::woohoo1::clapper:

Cheers mate, nice to see you about ;) Not to sure if she is gonna be my biggest 1L yield to date yet, after the wet weight, and the nugs a bit less dense now they have started to dry, so will have to wait and see but has the looks of some pretty fine smoke either way.

I love my BioBizz and will continue to use it for a while, well because it works and is cheap enough and am very comfortable using it now. But with the extra new space on its way will leave room to experiment a bit ;) and gonna be trying at least one girl with MealFrass (http://mealfrass.com/ Spanish only website) a new product from Spain that is recommended in my local grow shop and supposed to be perfect for autos (we shall see).

Good not just my crazy head on that theory then, still seems and smells (stink the same as the day i cut them) to me like they are curing as they dry when i check on them, and always seem to smoke way better Day 1 from a jar.

The lowers from White N Bubbly have been trimmed up and put into a jar, still a little damp for my liking, but nothing a night with a the lid off the jar and a few shake abouts wont sort out, and will seal them up in the morning, would have waited a extra day to dry them but needed the space, as will be a long overdue update on Sour Crack and then her fat ol head will come off tomorrow morning, before a few more days back in the box to finish off maturing up the rest.

Nice looking buds, and great pics as always. Your going to love that Sour Crack, great daytime smoke for sure.

Thanks bro, my first Sour Crack a couple of years back as you rightfully say, was a real heady nice daytime social smoke when taken nearly all cloudy, very few amber and still some clear on Day 58, have not checked the trichs on this one in about 5 days but reckon when i do will be amber city under the loupe, so will interesting to see the difference in the two as is the same pheno for sure.

Here is a link to my old smoke report on her back then, just dug it up to refresh my mind on that first lovely Sour Crack smoke and build my taste for her even more ;)
