Live Stoner Chat Spannabis 2015 - Barcelona 20-22nd March. Anyone going?

There was no wifi last year! But if anyone is looking for us you can ask at the green dream grow shop stand,
either way have fun everyone
I missed you guys all day I was saying to the mrs look out for Mephisto logo but to no avail.
maybe next time if I'm lucky I'll post a few pics when I get back to the hotel
We just got home - had an amazing day, particularly because of the Mephisto Boys who destroyed us with samples of some of their wares. I´ll put some pics up and write a bit of a trip report tomorrow - way too tired now!

LOL, those crazy MEPHISTO boys! Who'd a thunk.We just got home - had an amazing day, particularly because of the Mephisto Boys who destroyed us with samples of some of their wares. I´ll put some pics up and write a bit of a trip report tomorrow - way too tired now!

Quick report on Spannabis.
Had a fantastic time and met so many interesting people. Picked Stitch's brain a bit about his new superauto's and he said all his troubles are now over and his new stock of strains is guaranteed to auto but not like normal auto's his all take a bit longer due to size of the plant, he seemed honest and genuine.
Met a long time cyber friend from Autoflor.es he breeds noting but auto's and I got a few beans off him to try.
It was very busy and I handled the crowds well (start to freak out a bit with big crowds) but everyone was on a happy vibe.
The weather held off for us but rained late in the day but hey ho it's only water
Alot of seed companies were holding a spin wheel and I had a go on a couple and got more beans including a very sexy looking pineapple express from Fastbuds, a 5 pack of critical+ from Growcity plus a few other odd singles from Barneys Farm
Had a chat with the guys from autopots and learnt how to use them properly so now I have no excuse for messing up my next grow.
Of course the English hoodrats were there acting all gangsterish because they think it's so coool to smoke weed without having to be all paranoid but really do they have to drink and act like dicks.
Lots of good food and good weed I managed to get a few grams of NYC Diesel so I was pretty buzzed and medicated
Overall a very good day and I learn't a bit more so that can't be a bad thing
Very sad I didn't get to meet the guys from Mephisto would really like to grow some of theirs, maybe next time if I'm lucky

Our Spannabis adventure started at Stupid o clock on Friday morning. We landed in Barcelona at 9am, jumped on the train and the metro to get to the exhibition, and arrived at just before 10am, just in time to join the massive queue. We knew we were getting close when we saw this lorry parked up:
It seemed like everyone but us was smoking a joint, and there was a bit of a party atmosphere in the queue. We bought our tickets and waited:
We got in just after 11am, and the place was massive. An outside area with various food and beer stalls, a DJ who was off his head constantly, and 3 main exhibition areas.
We wandered around for a while and I chatted with a few of the companies I wanted to meet with (Sweet Seeds, Dutch Passion, Lumatek etc). There were some massive, very professional looking stands. I picked up a few freebies but turned down a lot as I have too many to grow as it is! I did buy some Dutch Passion Auto Blackberry Kush and Auto Euforia as the exhibition price was heavily discounted and a real bargain. Dutch Passion also gave us some great freebies - caps, lighters, skins etc:
I´m also in the market for a new ballast and was delighted to see that Lumatek were doing an exhibition offer of a 600w dimmable ballast for 99 euros. The Lumatek guys were awesome and told me to email them and they will send me one at the offer price as I couldn´t get a ballast home yesterday. Thanks guys!
It was at this point things took a turn for the hilarious. We were grabbing a beer outside and I saw 2 guys in Mephisto Tshirts. We went over to say hello and met Mitch & Tim. What a super pair of guys, and they invited us to the stand they were using for a smoke. With massive generosity, Mitch handed me a big nug of Toof Decay, and Tim followed up with a chunk of Fantasmo Express. We smoked with the guys, who compounded their generosity with a range of awesome freebies (and the best looking goodie bags at the exhibition):
We also grabbed a pic of Mitch & Tim - you can´t tell from the pic but I can confirm they are extremely good looking!
And so by this point we were extremely well baked and realised it may take us a bit longer to get back to the airport, and so began the 2nd part of our day which shall forever be known as "The Battle for Barcelona Airport".
We left the exhibition in a Toof Decay and Fantasmo haze, and started walking towards the metro. Someone had obviously moved the metro station as 40 minutes later we were wandering round an industrial estate with no idea where we were going. To cut a long story short, the next couple of hours were spent getting on 1 train, getting off that train at the next stop when we realised it was the wrong train, getting on another train and then realising the earlier train was in fact the correct one.
I can only blame Mephisto Genetics for the pathetic dribbling messes we had become. The good news is that we were finding the whole thing increasingly funny, and we eventually got back to the airport with time to spare.
In conclusion, its a great way to spend a day. The exhibition is a growers heaven, the atmosphere is very chilled (I agree with Petey, about the Chavs covering themselves in glory!) and if you are so inclined you can walk out with boxes full of freebies (everything from stickers to seeds). We will certainly be going again next year (but will stay overnight so we don´t make such fools of ourselves!).
