Lighting Spectrum change it for flowering or not?

:smokebuds::peace: just one quick question do I need to change bulb spectrum when my plants get really into flower?? I am using a 400 watt mh 4200 kelvin to veg with now:peace::Thank You:
 
Hey RP
It is recommended to change to HPS or a flowering spectrum. But you don't have to
 
MH lights contain more blue light, which is best for vegetative growth. For flowering, more red light is needed. The HPS will provide that, so best to change. Just make sure your ballast is capable to running both. If not, then purchase a conversion bulb that will work in a MH ballast.
