fortunately, i've got great customer service at my hydro shop. I went in and he switched out the broken ballast for a brand new one until he hears back from the company.

here's what happened the the ballast: i have 2 600 watt switchable, dimable ballast which means i can run either an hps or mh bulb and dim them both down to 400 watts if i want (good for seedlings and veg) What i did not know is that i cannot run 600 watts when using the mh bulb. the conversion doesn't sit right with my plantmax bulb. ( it says this in fine print on the ballast).

so, the owner of my shop (he's a really awesome guy) gave me a replacement 600 watt ballast (not dimable or switchable) that allows me to run the mh bulb off it just fine. These ballast come with a 5 year warranty not 3 like i had previously thought so he's going to take care of it for me and let me know what the outcome of the situation is. Hopefully they just replace the ballast no problem since its under the warranty.

I've been wanting to post pictures of my 420 adventures but i've been having technical deficulties and my computer wont let me upload pictures for some reason we had a 420 cake made especially for afn and an edible arrangement with 420 carved out of pineapples! I'll be posting pics when i get to work tomorrow (took a 4 day weekend) so stay tuned for some weekend recap :smoke:

spelsylver, bummer about the light issue but glad you got good people at your shop, good customer service makes all the difference in the world and now you know more about the ballast and lights so not a loss at all in your previous video i think you said you had a male in the the tent did you move it somewhere else? i'd hate to see your whole tent get seeded or is that what your going for? I'm planning to start my first breeding project too if i get a good pinkbud male in my next auto run.

I was really glad to get the light situation taken care of so quickly, same day service, can't ask for much more. and i'm sure being a woman has it's perks in it's own right. gloworm and i get treated differently when we go in the hydro shop. There is a whole attitude change once the girls are in the shop, so friendly, polite and willing to drop whatever they are doing to provide service to us. Whatever, i'll take it! lol

it was delicious lever. the fruit was perfectly ripe as well and you can get them dipped in chocolate too! we got the chocolate covered strawberries.

I think they are overpriced but i've always wanted one and 420 was just the right occasion. Ain't nothing but some fruit on some skewer sticks but oh so pretty!

Sounds like you've found a gem of a hydro store, spels. Can you imagine if all stores had customer service like that? What a world it would be.....
