So I pretty much cut above the stem problem on each plant and got rooting gel to re-root them and put them in a fresh rockwool to see if they will make it. The stems snapped on both and they both had algae on the rockwool so I learned from my mistake of keeping the water going on top of the rockwool.
The black jack looks good in the rockwool cubes and I think it has the best chance of surviving, I had to cut high on the other one and it didn't grow as much as the black jack so that is less likely to survive because of how small the cutting is.
I'll let you guys know what happens. Lets hope I'm not just crazy and this might work
