Grow Mediums Stepwell Soil anyone

Anyone here run this soil? Looking for tips etc with it.

I just took delivery of a bale plus rhe Kootenay Bio soil collaboration kit to try out.

I aslo just found out Black Swallow Soils is about 2 miles from my house! Guess whats next on the menu! They have pretty much any ammendment and some pretty darn good looking premixed blends.

Dr. Autoflower is running that soil. Your in Canada cause that's the only place that's selling it. Check YouTube, Dr.Autoflower. He is also running that Gaia Green with it.

I am running that soil. Ran those amendments and stepwell soil last grow in autopots. I believe The amendments are a little hot if you add the recommended Dose. I had to cut it back. Seems to of caused a ph swing / lock out in one of my plants but it eventfully passed. I am going with the stepwell soil and Gaia green this go around. For the most part I like the soil. I add extra vermiculite or perlite when using the autopots. Seems to feed them well into the 3rd or 4th week so I wouldn’t feed before the 3rd week. I just watched some of dr autoflower and he also has a little over feeding issues so I am even more convinced now to feed lighter next time

Cheers thanks. I also am trying some Black Swallow KIS soil beside this one. The KIS seems to have more in it as far as ammendments etc but is well aged. I may not need to amend it.

I always use half or less of the reccomend topdress. Seems whenever i do with Gaia i run into imbalance until things get broken down. This time i actually made a premix 50\50 compost to castings with Gaia mixed in so it can work off. If it needs more ill top dress with the mix.

So far my seedlings are enjoying both. Stepwell plant is a little bigger but it was before it hit the soil. I started them in solos.
