First-time grower (DWC) I've seen a lot of conflicting things on additives people say use sterilization additives such as Dutch master pro or silver bullet roots then I hear that will kill all bacteria both good and bad and they recommend a mycorrhizae product like pant success - orca liquid mycorrhizae. Will the good bacteria found in mycorrhizae defend against bad bacteria thus preventing root rot etc? If this is the case can someone inform me of the products they used and the measurements of their dosage if they thought the manufactures recommended dose was too high?

thanks, rando

Good bacteria does fight bad they release toxins to kill other bacteria and stop the from taking over. It all depends on bacteria and ratio like if you have lab bacteria like the kind found in raw milk and yogurt if e coli gets into the milk the bacteria will eat it but if that milk is pasteurized it will culture in the milk and make you sick. We have ecoli in our intestines for a reason tho all bacteria serves it's purpose. As for mycohrizzae I don't know id say use em1 in my not expecting opinion or kombucha/yogurt idk if that would clog lines. People are running knf stuff in hydro and making their own liquid nutrients. I'm an organic soil grower so. If say just to do living soil. But everyone has a different way of growing. I think soil is more forgiving.
