Harvest & Curing Storing weed for a year

I believe the boveda claim to regulate the humidity for a full year, when sealed in a glass jar. 3 months if you are opening the jar during that period. Im not sure how the science works, between the contents of the humidipaks and the oxygen, so I'm purely speculating. But I would think that it would last a very long time when vacuum sealed. Granted There is still oxygen within the plant matter, but if the conditions of the herb are stable, and controlled, I think it could last significantly longer than on year, even.

What about vacuum sealing it with a humidipakl and keep it in a cool completely dark place for 8 or 9 months. Then air it out, and check everything closely. If everything is in order, replace the humidipak, vacuum seal it again, and you probably wouldn't have to check it again for 18 months.

Im very interested in long term storage methods. It would be great to be able to grow a little extra, and store it in the garage or even bury it in the yard. It would be awesome to be able to just tuck some various strains in a corner somewhere without having to worry about it. Rainy day stash for incase we find ourselves unable to enjoy our hobby for any amount of Time.
