I've been running a cheap amazon light that has ir, uva and far red with a bloom and veg switch feature. I really like it and have had really good results. However I want better coverage and more wattage.. So...... this is where I'm at.

It will go in a 2×4. 2 separate fixtures. I want to run uva, ir, and far red also.(since the light i currently use has them)but With the 90 and 99cri, do i even need to run them? I can not afford cutter either. So any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated Thanks. Here is some bud porn for reading.

The gen3s run best at 15-20w for around 2.4u/j so you either need more strips or to switch to a 240w driver. You would need twenty to run 370w

You don't need 730 except for EoD. My mistake

The higher cri relates to the improved or more sun like spectrum but the higher cri sees shifts into more red. The 4000-2700k are pretty similar and I've seen good results with strictly 2700k in flower.

So you do still need UV/FR. GrowlightAustralia makes a board from 390-800nm with everything you want at 3umols/j. For your space and their DIY kit it would about $550+shipping with everything but the 320w driver.

I've seen a side by side against HLG 96s and 288s in a c02 environment with DWC against the Highlights. They impressed me enough to want a couple boards.

https://growlightsaustralia.com/ you have to email them for their DIY kit and they give 10% off

I've been pricing bridgelux for 3x3 builds with the 2700k 90cri at about $600 with UV from cutter, FR from GrowlightAustralia, heatsinking, etc on a 320w driver. I'm going with the Highlights for my next projects.

The 2700k do still need 730nm from end of stretch to harvest and you can do end of day treatments.

Thanks for the input. I will check them out. I've looked at chilled 's diy kit that is here in the US also. I've been looking and pricing for a while now also and it definitely seems like its cheaper to buy one already designed than do it yourself now. Was alot different a year ago bro. Led tech has been blowing up. Marshydro Sp3000 looks really nice. Been thinking about that one also.

They all grow weed :smokeit:

That is a fact bro. This $150 light has done its job really well. It just gets really hot and doesn't have much spread

The high light boards are out of stock but they are definitely impressive and what im looking for in a light. I will probably change my mind several more times for a few more weeks before I pull the trigger :crying:. Thanks man.

You have to email them for their DIY kits. Ask about a 2x4 without driver kit

Driverless double kits (all parts, including waterproof cable connector for driver and double heatsink, but no driver) = A$670
As above with water-resistant coating = A$710

That was my quoted price. Au to USD of 506-536+shipping. Don't forget their 10% off code. Have a look at inventronics EUD drivers, they are usually cheaper than Meanwell.

Amazon product ASIN B08B841G7WSo im considering just throwing this in with my other cheap light and adding uv puck or tube during last couple weeks of flower. I will save alot of money. Might have to buy a bigger exhaust fan to keep it cool but ive been wanting to upgrade anyways. So many options. Its so hard to make a decision
