Firstly, maybe there is a link between this happening & what issues I posted in this thread not that long ago...

https://www.autoflower.org/f90/lsf-watering-nutes-22053.html

Basically when I was at work yesterday one of my seedlings decided to do this...
as you can see the others have not done this apart from one mutant runt, nor have any of the other plants.

There is something not quite right though i'm sure, these things are happening for a reason & have never happened to me before, there is a number of things I know could cause it but I just don't have the experience to work out what is the specific reasons.

Cheers for any help.

Either to many nutes or to much water.

Thanks, too much water or lack of drainage is my main concern, the PM soil supreme soil seems to be holding moisture very well and almost self compressing in the pot making a very firm moist root ball.
I have started to squeeze around the pots to try loosen soil now, wether that will do any good I dont know...

Problem is im stuck with this soil really & even if I could replace, they already have their rootballs within this soil so thats not too easy to fi

Do you think it could be nutrients with just plant magic soil so early on? I havent added a thing & wont be till flowering...if they make it to flowering!

Could it be something to do with nitrogen by any chance?

Cheers nam

I agree with namvet---and it might even be both: too much water and too much fertilizer in that Plant Magic Supreme soil...

Also, your plants look spindly...like they are stretching for the light. I won't tell you to bring the light closer to the plants because I recently burnt mine by having the light too close...but if it was me, I would experiment with bringing the light closer to the plants...

The tricky thing about LEDs is that whilst they don't give off much heat, they still produce a sort of radiation...So even though I used the rule of thumb of gauging the heat with my hand and lowering the light to like 3 inches above the plants, I have learned that there is indeed some sort of invisible/un-feel-able radiation emanating from the LEDs which can make them sick if it is too close to their tops.

Let your plant dry out a bit. Don't feed it anything when you next water it. Get some organic top soil.

Relax.
Stop looking at the plants so often.
Stop looking for trouble and blemishes.
Remain confident even when you do find blemishes.
Most plants produce smokable buds no matter how many of their leaves look funky or weird or yellow or otherwise diseased.

Probably but this is now the soil im stuck with although perhaps I could get some organic top soil for the seedlings but my older plants are in 7.5litre pots already, I grow outdoors so no light is possible to be brought closer.
Funny thing that actually, the plants that were started a week before, the tundras are all getting very bushy and very low gaps between internodes but these other strains are proper going for it with the height although i suspect they will stop doing that once another node or two is out.

I did try to let my plants dry out but then out at work they got absolutely hammered with rain.
Its not so much that I am overwatering, its more that the soil just is not losing its moisture half as fast as it should, not sure whats with that tbh..

I look at the plants every night yeah but this is because of the potential thrips issue before & other pests, if I notice early - I can deal with it.

Almost inevitably I will get some harvest but I have always had good harvests in past & its important as I can only grow during the short UK summer & that bud has to last alot as i have next to no, perhaps even no contacts that I can use to get herb hence I am really monitoring & concerned.

Ah, outdoors...

Is it possible to transplant the plants into the ground? They might get better drainage that way. You could dig holes and chuck down some rocks or pebbles and then transplant the plants---the entire contents of each pot. Just make sure you use a liberal amount of snail & slug pellets!

With the way the UK weather has been...ugh! Can you not do a stealth indoor grow?

Anyhow, good grow karma to ya!

Yep northern UK weather at that..

Cant put in ground as no more space left in garden despite it being sizable, we grow all sorts plus plant pots offer a way to hide in the garage if need be & also shelter from excess water etc.

The plants that hadn't been re-potted at the time of that being posted have been re-potted with a mix of soils and/or generous amounts of pre washed perlite for extra drainage & aeration.

They are sleeping in the garage @ night now.

As for indoor grow, na not much chance of that as still living with mother for couple months & will be rented property with gf & newborn baby by then & the gf wouldn't appreciate the risk of growing in our place so one day yes but for the foreseeable future...no indoor grows:help:

I updated my diary yesterday, despite everything - they are starting to get going & the main issues are pretty much if not completely gone.
