Harvest & Curing Surface to trim on

Hey all!
Just a simple question, what is the best surface to trim on in regards to easy retrieval of kief afterwards? I've seen people use garbage bags tape over a table etc, but does the static cling from plastics or films prevent the kief from being shaken off easily? Would brown paper work better?

Cover my table in cheap plastic table cloth material (1 or 2 mil). I have a huge roll left over from various parties over the years. Trim, gather what I want to save, roll up the plastic cloth and chunk it.
