hows it going guys im gonna be try dwc and was wondering if i could do without an EC meter and use my ppm meter for the readings? i was thinking of upgrading my ph meter so if i needa get an EC meter im probably jst gonna purchase a tri meter. thanks in advance

You dont have to have an EC meter for DWC. EC and PPM are "kinda the same but in different formats" Grab a good PPM meter or EC meter, a good PH meter, then find info on EC/PPM feeding charts. Veg&Bloom.jpg This is a PPM chart based off EC readings that i found here somewhere.... Even so, its a guideline, some plants like more, some less.

Hi Jammin ...Urban Farmer is spot on ,PPM (part per million),TDS(total disolved solids),EC(electrical conductivity) & CF(conductivity factor) are all just readings for nute strength in your solution .

Depending on what PPM meter you have (some convert differently if its US or EU ect) ,you would just do a quick calculation to get the EC ..... example is 500PPM = EC-1.0 (with the US conversion rate!)

heres a couple of charts mate :smokebuds::peace:

wow yo guys both made my day with these charts they are exactly what I was lookin for before I posted this! I don't have an expensive ppm meter I bought it with my RO system to see how well it actually worked. im pretty sure its measured by u.s standards.

Thats an easy one bro .... double the reading & drop the zero's to get the EC :d5::d5::smokebuds:good luck with the grow

awesome!!! haha it just keeps getting easier thanks mucho grande dwcocha

What dw said. E.c is close to twice ppm with decimal moved. Def need a p.h meter til you get the hang of it. And hopefully it tells you temp. Try to keep that below 72.

thanks roark i have ph meter and i also have temp gage in the ppm meter
