New Grower Teach me how to feed nutes

Yes it could be a reckless statement, however every strain is different so his recklessness or experimenting with different feeding could workout better. Yes it is very wise to stay on the safe side and wait to feed until aprox week 3 but if you're familiar with a strain or are just a small closet grower it doesn't hurt to see what works best for your setup even if it is a little reckless. :) just my two cents.

Couldn't agree more...just wanting to make sure that Larthstar is comparing apples to apples so everyone is on the same page...if he isn't running FFOF then it may be a completely different scenario that doesn't actually inform this one at all. I think every newb should just be looking to get through the first grow with a live plant at the end, not looking to push every aspect to the edge. The volatility of that approach makes it much harder to be successful. Bucking trends is great but trends exist sometimes for valid reasons.

I was always told to wait a few weeks before feeding. I gave the heavyweight 3 tablespoons of grow big, silica, beone on the first feeding.
no nute burn and great growth.
3 tablespoons GB per gallon,on a seedling,in ocean forest.HOLY SHIT.how many days ago was that bro,can u post some pics,im sorry I just don't believe it ur ph is got to be way off.again im sorry for the criticism but I got to see for myself

Ive used pretty much all the FF nutes and soils and from my experience 3 teaspoons of Grow Big is a lot at any stage imo whether your using happy frog or ocean forest, the general feeding is 2-3 teaspoons but you should base your ratios off 2 teaspoons.

When i used to use ocean forest i would just give plain water for the first 3.5- 4 weeks and that would usually be enough, most of the times the colydons wouldnt even start to yellow. (We all now some are lighter feeders than others though) Now I use happy frog and a little after 2 weeks i start grow big at maybe 1/8 strength to be safe and then go to 1/4 strength and increase...When i see very minor clawing or burnt tips i back off a bit and know not to feed more than that. :Sharing One:

I always waited till week 3.5 or 4.i would mix up big bloom and grow big 1\5 strength to start.i too used to use ocean forest and I could bet u anything that if you started off from the get go feeding 1/4 strength fox farm nutes with ocean forest and ur soil ph is in perfect range and u feed every 4-5 days without a plain ph water u probably gonna burn the shit out of her.fox farm nutes r pretty hot shit, especialy tiger bloom.not tryin to be a dick but if I was you I would try and gather more info before feeding anymore.being ur first grow and all I would use very little nutes.ocean forest alone is known to burn seedlings without any additives at all.hope this helps I don't want you to burn up ur babies and have to start all over again

Thanks for the advice this helped. So now I know to mix the grow big and big bloom together 1/5 strength in a 3 litter bottle and pour in i liter at a time. It seems like I'm starting to understand more I feel like I'm asking a lot of questions and repeating myself a lot I just want to make sure that in the end I have a healthy live plant. This is my first grow and I know that first timers are a lot more pron to making mistakes and I'm just trying to avoid any mistake so I can have a good yield for my first grow. Maybe I'll just wait another 3 weeks to feed my Magnum and Pineapple Express. It is defiantly feeding time for my Northern Light and Cheese plant though who are both over 3 weeks old.

Makes perfect sense to ask questions until you feel like your head is wrapped around a definitive game plan...confidence makes patience more achievable.

I just feed my plants when is the next time I should feed them and water them

you remid me of me in the beginning.im no expert but I feel like I could help u a little.first things first; are you using a ph meter?cause u gotta have when to start or it don't matter how much nutes u feed she cant take in.second you need to have a good understanding what ph is and what range to keep it in.third if ur using ocean forest u need to add lime to up the ph,I know it probably said it was already in 6.3-6.8 range but that's horse shit.usually 1 tablespoon per gallon.also you wanna add bout half gallon perlite(rinsed off real good if its miracle grow)per gallon of soil.just research on how to properly lime soil.after you got that stuff down what I do is weigh my pots on a scale when there dry so say its 17 lbs then I water or feed then in couple days I weigh again and when its close to 17 I knbow there thirsty.also its best for a new grower to use very little nutes cause it can really fuck up ur first grow, way better to be underfed than overfed.also the guessing on when and what to feed don't work, youll know when ur getting better at growing when u can look at them and b able to tell what they need when they need.after u get that stuff down we can go into ur light setup and what not.pm me if u need some advice....AND TO THE PROS WHO DONT AGREE WITH MY ADVICE..i belive the little info I do know could really benefit...EYELOVEPOT.

Thanks for the advice when should I do my next feeding if I fed them Monday and how long after I feed them do I water the plants again? How many times a week do I feed my plants?

I was going to feed my plants today but my plants got rained on last night. Should I wait until tomorrow now to feed them?

Depends on how much they got....but if you have reason to believe they got a good soaking....wait a day at least.
