Just a few questions about my 5×5 tent set up if ya dont mind? So I have 4, five gallon smart pots with a seedling sorouted in each one. I'm running 4 autocob lights. My humidity it's really low like 36%to 45%. So I do have a humidifier. One of the ones that shoots the mist out the top. I have not hooked it up yet because I have a couple concerns. One being if I put the humidifier on a timer what do you suggest I do? Run it for a half hour every other hour? Also I'm worried about my lights. Will they be okay in a tent with a humidifier that's blowing mist into the air? I would love to hear what you guys think. Sorry if these questions are answered somewhere else. I tried to look but I'm out of time and got to head to work. Please let me know what ya'll think ? Thanks! Have a wonderful day every one!!!

I'd suggest running it and monitoring what the humidity gets up to. Do it for like a day, logging the humidity. I'd start out w/ a more conservative timer, maybe once an hour? Then increasing the frequency as you see the results.

Check us out if you need help w/ monitoring ;)

I always use humdifiers, and prefer the top fill ultrasonic that shoot mist up into the air.
Most humidifiers have a control that adjusts the amount of mist coming out.
I leave mine on all the time, and check on humidity several times a day, and adjust the mist control until the humidity is the way I want it.

I've also found that a fan (any type will do) placed close to the humidifier is necessary to disperse its vapor, and that another fan (preferably oscillating) is needed to stir up the tent air, as most of us already do. It might also be necessary to shield a plant from the mist. I use tote bin lids for this.

Another problem is what to do with lights on/off. Some humidifiers won't come back on automatically, and need to be manually restarted. Other brands will come back on automatically when the timer says to. I avoid this hassle by using 24-0 lights with humidifier always on. But the humidifier should be off when the lights are off, otherwise the humidity might skyrocket.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I think I have it down pretty good now.
