have nine seedlings had 300 watt tfive over seedlings for first 2and half days atlike 3 inches away soil was 82 degrees hottest i just moved them to like 6 inches above plants did i fry them or something there all green but havent grown much sense autos sprouted first day and now are maybe half are like 1 inch tall and other half are half an inch tall did i start tfive to close whats gonna happen just changed them to 6 inches under light on day 3 hope that will help

Hi 401, if they are still green you didn't fry them!

I use T5's to start seedlings and find about 8 inches above soil level to work to start. Your plants may be a bit light stressed but should come through it ok.

Keep your light at the six inches and you will be fine. As they grow, you can move the T5 light closer to as little as 2 inches with a good breeze going accross them. Seedling autos appear to do little growing above ground, but they are busy putting down a good root system as a good base for the rest of the grow. You didn't hurt your girls, I sure.

person at grow shop said to raise it up to 3 to 4 ft above
i have a 4 ft 8 bulb 440 watts i moved it up to about 2 to 3 ft above plants is that too much dont know what to do is that to far now need soem help and ya plants are very green feed them nutes very lightly and green sum stems have a little purple brown stem but they jsut look very short like sum are an inch out the ground and sum are like almost 2 inches poppin above ground the leafs are just small and there not to tall.

so is 3 ft almost above plants way to high then??

Well mine only has 4 54 watt bulbs so some additional height would make sense. Your plants are short with small leaves due to the excess light they were getting. Leave the lights where you have them for a couple of days and see if the plants start to stretch too much. You don't want them to be too compact or the light will have trouble penetrating through the canopy as the plants get larger

Post some pics when you have a chance so we can see how things look
