Water Chiller- it shut off on me! The surge protection, fail. Not one, but twice. (24 hours) I thought about it. The timer is the answer!
The surge, doesn't have anything to do with the lights, (appliances goes off, and then goes on). Just some Micro-burst, a 1/00000 second, and then is over.
The timer- one minute, shuts off. One minute, turns on. And hour goes by. The timer, one minute, shuts off, turns on. That it! I can't do anything about the surge, but I do, have some dance, around the problem!
The chiller problem- It's over, maybe. I got the timer, in, Wednesday.

7-Gooseneck starting to come up
8 Start 4 leave (cotyledon) - Turn heating pad-off 72*
9- Stem turning purple- all the way down
10 3 inch height (the light) All the way through Germinate
11 Stem turning purple- 90% all the way
12 Turrned on the 5 watt fan. 8 hour
13 B-1 Gall - 3 drop Superthrive

You got have the three wire extension cord. I have to get the cord, (10 foot) going out of the closet.

If you have the two wire extension cord, (I have the light socket) - not grounding enough!
The water chiller has a thermo electric fuse. One the power has shut off, that doesn't come on until you wigglet the electrical connection.
It doesn't take surges too well!
Forget about the switch, (I have previously recommended).
