While I haven't begun with my actual setup for grows, I have been tending to a poor little plant that is actually responsible for me getting into this hobby. It's an unknown bagseed plant that I've had growing for about a month now. She was planted in on-hand soil, in a small-ish pot, given non-ph'd water,and had variable light schedules. Hell for Rugged Mary, I know. But she (I say "she" because she recently has displayed hairs at her nodes) has pushed through these harsh conditions (harsh as in stuck in a car overnight in 45* F temps... I had no other option, believe me).
She is currently about 20cm tall and pretty weak looking. I haven't given her any nutrients, and really she is just a screw-it-i-just-want-to-see-what-i-can-make-of-this project.
Lighting: she started off in natural light in a window (less than 12 hours of light a day, northern hemisphere winter sun). After I got my 400W MH/HPS set up I had her under MH for a couple of days on an 18-6 schedule and the change was dramatic (this was when she was about 2.5 wks old and had been in <12hrs light per day). Traveling for the holidays and, long story short, couldn't leave her under the light. Now she is back to weird schedules. She did start showing some hairs in her nodes, but she is far too small for me to want her to flower.
My questions:
Can I put her back under 18-6 next week and force veg state?
Is it theoretically possible to force-hermie her to get seeds out from some sort of freak incestual experiment?
Thoughts on what I should do with her?
