Hmmm... It's probably a high tech robotic love doll hahhaaa wtf
(just be careful of that charging port) lmao

Finally ... another RDWC grower.

Dude I'm so following your ass around this site from now on :D

I'm using the IWS RDWC system. Just 8 pots in a 1.2 x 2.4 m tent with lighting being 2 x Ms006, then a 600w Gravita in the middle and another 2 x Ms006 on the other end.

In my trials and tribulations I've found that a sterile rez is by far the easiest and most trouble free system for RDWC. I'm still a complete noob, only 1 failed and 1 fairly okay harvest under my belt in it. I've a 3rd grow going at the moment and it's going better than the last 2 but still nothing I'd be proud of. I'm doing better in my soil grow.

I found that Dutch Master - Zone is really good to add to the res to keep the whole thing nice and sterile, clean and clear. I did a lot of reading around and a few commercial growers that did experiments using the Current Culture (CCH2O) systems found that sterile not only was easier but the yields were exactly the same if not slightly better than grows using the same system with beneficial bacteria. In fact they had problems with some grows adding anything organic to their system, which is exactly my same experience.

You could know all this already, you could have a complete different opinion than me, but I'm sharing all the like. Would be interested to hear your opinion. I've seen a few of your grows on here and much respect dude.

p.s. I love your 'I kNoW TaNg' thing, that's funny if I knew TaNg I'd be bragging about it too :P Well .. on here anyway ;)

I'm also very happy to see another RDWC grower here. I'm finishing up my 3rd grow and while I'm still not where I want to be, have seen steady improvement from grow to grow. Are you planning on growing autos or photos? I've only been growing photos and one thing I learned the hard way is to go easy on the cal/mag. I'm using RO and was adding enough to raise the starting ppm to between 100 - 125 as is usual for RO. Now I find that no more than about 1 ml per gallon is sufficient. Also, these systems are very efficient in their nutrient usage. With photos I'm only running half the recommended strength, so I would expect autos to use even less. If you haven't bought any nutes yet, consider the House & Garden line. Before Current Culture started manufacturing their own line, H&G was what they recommended for their systems. Do not use the AN pH Perfect line. I tried them the first grow and had to switch mid grow. They were terrible in RDWC. Could not keep the pH stable with them.

I can hope... Least then Mrs Tru would leave me alone :)

Hey Mr Happy thanks man, kind kind words you got there :)
Let me have a link if you got a grow thread on here. Also Ive been looking for a wing man... Dude you got the job, Im changing my message to 'I Know Happy' lol

Mate I dont really know DJ Tang (in tha housA!)... sept for on here and he da man mann!
We all know that already.

Brother thanks for the tips etc, Im glad you popped up and the rest of ya.
Bout time we deep water brothers stuck together.
I want a guide on here as bad ass as what DJ Tang (woop woop! yoll no dis) did on the soil thread.
Now I know next to fuck all about fuck all, so I reckon thats a good place to start :)

Before these soil grows, years ago I used to use NFT and it was easy.
I dont know how many grows I did but lets say 10 max. I never once got a disease, a leaf problem, nothing.
Maybe I was just lucky. I read a couple of books and followed what my grow shop said.
I just thought it was that easy.
Now you lot are starting to spook me with how its not going your way on these grows..

Soil was good and my last grow was unreal.
That was not planned or expected. Bind luck Im thinking.
But for me soil is heavy. You have to lump it in the car AND out again.
Lump it in the pots AND out again. Its heavy for a man with a glass back like me.
So thats all there is too it. No more soil as its too bloody heavy.

Lights, Im using my e-papilon 1000's, just like your Gavita as far as I can tell.
Im planning on getting some of the new DP/Grow Northern LED's when there released. I fancy these for summer to help with keeping the temps down.
Oh and the DP AutoUltimates I grew would have gone nuts with some side lights. Thats what Im thinkin..

Pumps, if it has water in it or near it then there is going to be an air stone and pump running.
Ive gone for these German Norres air diffusers. Apparently there the dogs do dars.
Alien supply some with the system and Im upgrading my water tank and a few grow pots with more air to see if it helps any.

Nutes, Im going with House & Garden after my last chat with Muddy.
Ive used them before and like the brand and can buy locally.

Air, Ive got 12" intake and 12" massive volume extractor.
These work well. I'd like to drill some 6" holes low down in my room and create some passive air but not sure if I will get to it.

Im going to buy 2 x Blue Labs guardian PH/EC/Temp monitors.
If one fails there is always another running at the same time. Thats going to be my policy on this from the off.
Spare water pump, spare air pumps and so on. Im doing this from the start, so if something fails, there will be no crying.
Just swap and buy another.

Yes this is costly but the whole thing aint cheap.
This time round its about making the job as easy as possible for me.
Anyone read about the SKY Cycling team? They run a 'marginal gains' programme.
Its all about saving the smallest thing, just half a point here, quarter of a point there. This adds up to there 'Marginal Gains' programme and it works.

Ive got a Hailea 500 chiller and will be running totally sterile.
So far thats where Im at. The Alien kit just arrived today.

Stay tuned Happy and keep in touch :)

Thanks Muddy happy to be here as per :)
Im going all out with this... Nothing gets spared in this RDWC project.

Since being back Ive only grown auto's.
I love not having mothers to look after, not taking cuttings and having zillions of small jail bate plants about makes things easier on my head.
So yea its auto's for me, after my last AutoUltimate Im seriously thinking can I grow anything else?
The smoke is incredible and lets not mention yield, those DP boys need locking up in my book :))

The Alien kit just landed today.
Ive got some room jobs to do and enjoying a little break. So not going to rush, this time round I want to get everything possible just nice.

... More pics and info as the kit gets unpacked and set up.
Here comes the learning :)

 Peace :peace:
