I'm a MMJ patient with a TLO philosophy trying to grow my own medicine for the first time. The environments are in place in a .9 x 2.4M veg room and a 1.8 x 2.4M flower room, all Fero LED lighting. I have 5 photo Black Russian and CBD Skunk Haze seedlings in the veg room with roots appearing from the bottom of their 8 oz. pots, so it's time to transplant, and a 6th Durban Poison seedling just breaking ground, also in an 8 oz. pot.

The plan is to grow a crop of autos in the flower room while the photo plants get big in the veg room. I could transplant the photo seedlings into Full Monty composted soil mix plus layers and spikes at this point, (?), but I hear that autos' short-cycle veg growth makes it difficult for them to recover from any transplanting. Is it possible to start out with double potted auto seedlings (bottomless 8 oz. pots), using mild Ocean Forest soil, into 3 gallon air-pots containing (Full Monty) composted 2.1 soil mix plus layers and spikes?

I use large natural starter pots, 8-12 oz.

When it is time to transplant, I cut the bottom out, and plant it
in the big pot. But only halfway buried, that keeps the leaves out of the dirt.

If you haven't read the guides in the New Growers forum, this would be a good time.

Nice strains..Well If you want the best growth go directly to the Home pot..Or cut the bottom out of the pots and just place the pot on top of the bigger pot! ..Best size is 1/2 gallon for reg seeds sexing..and thats from what Muddy told me LOl im just spitting it back out LOL If they are Fem seeds just germ and pop them in their forever home for best results but transplanting can be done..I use Jellyfish and Jump Start and dont get shock.:d5:

I like planting into the finale pots, Autos and Photos. I feed little amounts like 200ml working up to 500ml, then just check pot weight and normally they want about 1ltr per day in 10L Airpots .
