Mephisto Genetics The influence of music on plants

The link I‘ve posted was just one of several articles I have read. They experimented with a lot of different plants and all kind of sounds and styles of music. Me too, I was expecting a positive effect with natural sounds such as wind, birds, bees, etc.. But the category nature isn‘t the key, only the sound of water had a certain influence on the roots. They put the roots of a plant in a closed, absolutely empty, like a reversed „Y“-formed, transparent test tube. One string of the reverse Y was immersed into a a bigger tub of circulating water. The plant directed its roots towards the string with the circulating water around it ... ergo: plants felt the vibes of circulating water and they certainly have still a lot of little secrets waiting to be discovered.
As I said, some plant species show a better growth/higher yield, others don‘t. But all of them had one in common: Biggest improvement was achieved by Mozart, Vivaldi and others of the Grand Masters.

I was contemplating the effects of vibrations on plant growth earlier today. I was not thinking in terms of root growth but you bring up a very interesting point here. Perhaps you could set up a situation where you place a fan just touching the outside of the planter/pot to direct root growth? There seems to be quite a bit of research out there following this vein of inquiry as well as soundwaves. Interesting stuff for sure!

This product seems to be aimed in that direction....

...absolutely ...
.. based on all the stuff I‘ve read about it, it won‘t be necessary to spend money in a new product but use something as simple as music to make the ladies happy.
....from Cosmic Queen to Dancing Queen with just a bit of music ...lol

I did this when I had a whole room to grow in. Can't say I really saw much difference. It made it easier to work in there for me thats about it . I personally just left the radio on whatever I wanted to hear. If it made them better it's because I was better at taking my time with them. Dont think music did much.

My girls are always bopping to some 50's Rockabilly and some Doo Wop, the joint here really jumps and they get way gone!

It would be great if somebody, who has 2 or more grow rooms, were interested to experiment with it ... both rooms with the same environment, one without music and the other with classic music from start to end of the grow.

Very experienced growers are probably able to judge without that .. just based on their experience.

It really sucks that I don‘t have the possibilities to test it by myself .. I suppose you will archive an improvement, maybe more than with some other high-priced and often quite useless stuff ... who knows?

Wondering now if a cheap radio with cheap speakers (no bass) would have as much of an effect as a high quality higher powered speaker with tweeters, mods and a sub. Maybe the plants need to feel the music more so then hear it. Same for us sit in a car with a decked out serious stereo and it’s a full body experience where u feel the music.

I knew of a guy that would play a 2 hour CD of rain storms complete with thunder at every water. Seriously
