Blue Himalaya Week 8
I have two males in plastic bags. They are just about to pop, a few have, but pollen doesn't seem to be there yet.
The only issue is that it gets very humid in the bag with the males, even though I put tiny vent holes at the top corners (imagine upside-down ziplock). I try to air out or exchange the bags, but I'm risking contamination of my females which are very close by.
Any suggestions for collecting pollen? I can't afford to have the males in a separate room, although in separate chambers with open intakes/exhaust via computer fans. So there is a chance for contamination, but I doubt it is that high.
Anyway, behold fatter plants, the stout kush is really filling out and calyxes are swelling, but new pisitils everywhere. I love long white pistils!
The more sativa girl is a few days behind in maturity, but as you can see, filling in nicely!

Props to Blackstar, it's definitely doing the business compared to the Haight. I tried to love you, Haight, but the Blackstar is cheaper and better. Heh heh...
Interestingly, trichs are already cloudy, even though there are very few orange pisitils. I'm thinking one more week and change to harvest, maybe 2-3 more for the Sat-dom pheno. Any guesses? It's probably hard to tell with my crap webcam pics. New camera seems very possible within a month or so

Speed+ x 1 (one week?) - I got nervous about not getting 2 BH females, so I popped this guy

i was done buying seeds too untill i came to AFN, damn so many strains so little time. Mossy, Stitch and so many others here opened up a new world of growing to me.... you could always through in a few cfls for side lites, cheap lumens till you get another LED.... that old bat & dugout and the ProtoPipe in my avatar is my first smokin gear i bought in the 60's, i dont leave home without them. :smoke: did you know tha NW here is neilw at the bubblesite he has a photo grow and a auto grow here as well, you'll have to ck em out i think hed like that.
