Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am sure this has been talked to death, but I am not able to find a thread on it. I know I have read threads before about it but I can't find them.
I had read that when growing Autos, anything larger than a 2 gallon was over kill as the roots don't have time to fill more than a 2 gallon.
Now I read about folks using 5 gallon or larger to grow a larger plant with more roots.
I use a 3 X 3 area with 2 gallon pots. I can fit 12 pots. Of course when they grow, I have to do some shuffling depending on who is where on the grow.
I am using 1/2 Fox Farms Happy Frog and 1/2 Botanicare Coco as the medium and Mills as my nutrients.
Current grow is fine, but am I limiting my harvest by limiting the pot size?

My tent is 4x4 and 4 plants in 5 gallon smartpots will fill it!!! Now if I were to do say 5 plants of a medium yielder, I would have room to move around a bit....but not much. Try a few 5 gallon smartpots and see what happens!!! Freakin TREES!!!! BOOM!
