Although we can see "through" those directly there's no garantee that an obvious path is obviously "clean" as well, but that should normally help - if the design wasn't spoiled to begin with, that is.
In the Ascent case i do remember a picture showing fumes emanating from its base and that wasn't good news as i recall. M'well, etc., etc. Briefly put, shit happens unless something is done to prevent such dumb incidents.
The one thing that is a risk with a Vapocane, in comparison, is to get burned painfully. Anyone not comfortable with hot glass needs to think this over twice before purchasing, as there are torch flames involved as well. Though the cannabic path will remain clear of potential contaminants and this is what matters most, ultimately.
In addition, here's an alternative concept for the Vapocane:
Personally i'd try it with my HerbalAire i guess, or maybe someday even Arizer's Air, since the glass piece will fit.
Nonetheless, in this specific case we can conclude the path was made "see-thru" all right, "obvious" enough and IMHO quite sufficiently "clean" i shall say! As a matter of fact the day i see one just like that in front of me i'll be a crazy fool not to bring it home! No second thoughts. The Vapocane, i mean. Forget the Solo, that's obsolete history anyway.
The others?... Nah. When they've been through multiple generations of consecutive guinea pigs, perhaps. Eventually.
Anyway, the reader has got the picture so to speak. Everyone is now invited to submit candidates which graphically qualify among those few rare items which genuinely belong here, in accordance with the topic as announced in my title on top.
