Hey guys and gals. Yes I know I have been a terrible member lately. I miss you all a lot more than you know. Actually nearing a 4 ear anniversary here. It’s amazing on how fast time moves along.

Im not trying to cause panic or go outside the rules here but I did want to pop in and say I hope everyone is safe and staying sane in this insane time. One thing I find is extremely important to say is I fully understand how life can get to busy, at times to busy to think of things that don’t affect our normal day to day lives. I don’t know if I’m wired differently or if it was my well below poverty level upbringing but I have always enjoyed stashing away a few essentials. Water, food, medication. I find it a bit odd that the people who are the most scared right now are the ones standing in lines at the super market that is a mile long. The time for this was a month or even a year ago. Toilet paper doesn’t go bad last time I checked.

The world as we know it is going to change significantly for the rest of our lives. Here on the East Coast they practically shut everything down. I live close to Foxwoods casino which is the largest casino in the world with roughly 10k employees and they closed the doors for the first time in 20 years. I’m sure many are experiencing somewhat similar situations and some difficult times with businesses temporarily closing. I just hope it all ends soon with the least possible impact on our lives. For me I’m staying away from everyone. Hopefully catching up on messages, emails, lights and last but not least my 2 girls. It doesn’t always work out for everyone but some can hopefully make the most of this shitty situation.

With a few questions here and a few dozen emails I wanted to pop in and say that I am still shipping lights out. As long as the post office remains open which it should, I will continue. If anything changes I will post something here and on the site.

As far as the lights themselves go I can assure everyone they are as safe as possible. I am the only one who comes in contact with them outside the post. The parts take roughly 8 weeks for me to get them. From here it takes weeks to months before they are sold due to the amount of existing inventory I have. It’s also reassuring that my specific area hasn’t had any cases.

I now use disposable gloves to handle all packages received. Then I disinfect the surface where opened with Clorox wipes and or alcohol.

Damn. @BigSm0 still got the fastest cs in the industry orders being processed immediately. Yeah we’ve been cleaning everything even what comes out of the box. Shop online curbside pickup. Spray everything down in the car then clean as we take out and put away. Wearing gloves the whole time also keeeping aware of what we touch. One is cleaning the other putting the clean stuff away. We r taking it seriously as I already have compromised health.

Glad to see you guys taking this shit seriously.. things are gonna be different going forward.

Was watching youtube while working on my plants last night, found a channel where a young guy loaded up his boat and headed for the Bahama islands.. living aboard (on the reef). Had me daydreaming about being on a large houseboat on Lake Powell to ride this out with my family.. I will be better prepared if this virus has an encore come fall/winter. But lets all hope those smarter than I come up with an effective vaccine.

Stay safe guys..

Outside the lights I wanted to say I hope everyone is doing good. No offense to anyone but I do understand many here aren’t in the best of health and age catches up with most of us very fast. I don’t think I could live my life the same knowing I didn’t do what it took to assure everyone’s safety

Following the herd or even news has always lead me to think the opposite of the consensus. This same mentality works with the rest of life too. I can not stress the fact that storing food or the above mentioned in times like these is the smartest thing we can do. The comments I read “ we are fine” “we have plenty of food”. That’s the time to buy. With the USA importing a large percentage of its food and the majority of its packaging will inevitably lead to a shortage. Again no offense to anyone but I can’t imagine working in a super market for minimum wage while holding as much risk as they do. This alone scared me into thinking about the future of food sales. Not to fear monger... I just wish everyone the best and safest times.

Another thing, while there is a lot of negativity about wearing masks or how diy hand sanitizer doesn’t work. Most of us don’t carry a kitchen sink with us and sanitizer is sold out in most places. Hand washing is not the same as hand sanitizer. We know that. But if you are out hand sanitizer does work and should be used. I have done the diy approach. It is easily achievable to make a 60+% alcohol mixture that is effective and I suggest anyone without a store bought option look into the diy approach. Most would be surprised on how easy and inexpensive it is.

I appreciate that! The surge in sales lately has made it harder to get them out with the same speed but I am working hard to keep them moving along. Everyone wants self sustainability in these uncertain times.
